This is a real mystery.
So I've added a bunch of music to each different culture (north_european, south_european, east_european, middle_eastern, etc.), but it seems that the only music that gets pulled at all are the north_european selections.
How do I know this? I have different victory and strat_map music for each culture, using Kingdoms music and some other stuff that I have.
north_european culture, for example, uses Britannia victory and losing music. But I hear that music with every culture, like if I play the Egyptians for example.
I know that I'm putting in the music right, because I can hear the new north_european selections. But why is it that none of the other culture specific music is working properly?
I checked descr_sm_factions and such, and the correct cultures are assigned to the correct factions. For the life of me, I don't know why it won't register sound-wise...
I also checked descr_sounds_music_types, and yes, I have culture-specific music for each region. For example, Jerusalem_Province is middle_eastern culture and middle_eastern music, but all I hear is north_european stuff there while I am fighting and on the strat map....
I am using Kingdoms 1.5, and this is in a mod folder using Retrofit/GUAM as a base. Vanilla game is unpacked. Extra music added to the sounds folder of the mod, I have an [io] file thingy in the preferences.cfg as well.
