    Default Game websites.

What are the most reliable game websites to go to in terms of reviews? I usually go to Gamespot, but I'm not sure what one is the best. I want to get the most accurate review I can if I'm going to get a game, so what are your thoughts?

I like Gametrailers, even if they can be a little biased sometimes. It's no secret they openly prefer the 360 over anything else.

I go to Metacritic, on the assumption that not every website is biased and unfair. IGN is pretty good too. I go to Gamespot/faqs for the message boards.

I spend most my time on IGN when I'm looking for info but I generally don't pay attention to their reviews and such.

People will call me out on this, but I honestly think Zero Punctuation is a good review site. Yes, I am aware that Yahtzee is reviewing his games in a way that is primarily based on entertainment, not so much on hard facts, but it must be said that I've yet to disagree with any single one of his reviews.

The man's completely dead on, in my opinion.

    Gamespot + IGN + Gamespy.

If all three are saying same thing for a game it is pretty much like that.

Which one of those three were bought off, especially in regards to the Kane and Lynch game? I know one of them was, and there was a big hoolabaloo about it a while back.

I usually visit Gametrailers, not because they are always accurate simply because I find GT the most entertaining site.

If I am unsure if I am going to buy a game I tend to watch gameplay videos and try to get my own image if I enjoy the game or not.

I never trust these sites anymore, I never see them give a game 2/10 or something

Gamespot, IGN and Gamespy. And The Reticule too, yes . They all have the same opinion most of the time, although there can be some big differences (one of them gives the game a 9.0 while the other two give it a 7.5 or something). Just compare.

A reviewer on Gamespot gave it 6/10 and got the sack for it.

Said reviewer took a bunch of other gamespot reviewers who quit and created giantbomb.com. Reviews are sparse, but their non-review videos are great because of their commentary. Check it out.

As for reviews...Metacritic seems like a good idea, get the average of reviews
