Roman Empire and Roman Republic have been developed for the historic campaign
to reflect changes in legionach which occurred over 300 years,
and I'm would see especially in the my modification of the fight of his Romans factions

Roman Republic 264 BC - 58 BC (Legions before Marian reform, Early legions after Marian reform)
Roman Empire 48 BC - 117 AD (Roman legions from times of empire - late marians legions)
in 48 BC is a civil war between supporters the Roman Empire and old Roman Republic system

Yes, actually a modification is equal to the best in many ways, and sometimes even seems that the solution used in TGAW, are better informed.

Please take this into consideration because almost every mod out there has very weak Macedon General's Bodyguards!Please don't let that happen again because we all know how Macedonians won battles!I would like to see them to tear enemies apart when they charge!
