I don't think any senator would deny this law. It's intention is purely so that a man cannot monopolise the power of an office indefinitely.

May I suggest an amendmant so that no man can hold the same office for two terms consecutively?

Senator you know full well that I have served two terms in the past, this being my third! This law would force me, an elected Tribune of Rome, out of office illegally, without a true no confidence vote! This kind of politics is appalling, and if you want this passed, I defy you to go explain to the people why you have most nobly decided that you will propose a bill that will strip their defender of office before the term yet begins!
