yes i think so. atm they have 3 or 4 for free.

A permanent stone fort
I think four would be pretty good, to many and you just end up in a weird fort to fort jump around the map.
1st: I am sorry of my inactiveness... I was in a hospital for me and my mother the last time.
Its a quite dificult year for me...
2nd: Lets answer some questions.
Q: Are there permanent stone forts in the game and how many are they?
A: Yes there are. Each province may have from 2 up to 4 such forts. They all represent other cities in their areas that game limitation does not allow us to have in game!
DotS managed to give them many advandages but in TGC we primarily interest in their existance.
In the end all those forts will share town strat_map and battle map models.
They will have 5 units free upkeep that will allow smaller faction players to save some money before they will reach the economy level up to a point!
Why 5 ? In my game tests 5 units are the minimum number of them that can defend a settlement with some chanches of success!
Two archersor javelinmen, tow melee infantry and a spear infantry behind the gate or a cavalry one to charge to siege engines , according to each player's favorite game play!
Q: Why TGC does not primarily interests in more PSFs abillities.
A: 1st because we would like to have a release some day!
2nd : Because the greater factions already have too many settlements that generate income! More income from douzens of PSFs would be unfair for the smaller factions.
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material

Now that EBII has been released, this mod is the only total war experience that I am waiting for.
Since I refuse to play anything beyond Medieval II total war(after trying and hating them all of course), this mod will probably be my last total war experience.

the map of asia minor is making good progress. the heights and climate is ready and groundtypes are half done for this area. i will post some screen, when things get ready
