    I hope my teammates will forgive me for this but the last weeks 2-3 new guys apeared and gave this mod the new breath to come fully allive again.
    From visual help (texture parts) to recruitment scripting , all these guys gave us hope and most of all they gave us happyness to see our "child" grow up !
    There is not a proper "Thank you" word for these guys to express our Fellowship gratidute for the reason that so much extensive and detailed work for the last 4 years and more finally will have the chance to be shared with all of us!
    The new texture parts wil lbe displayed later (i had some issues in RL the lasy days and did not have the time to add them in the new models) but now please share our 1st steps in campaign recruitment ....

    We will have the chance to rep the two texturers in the following couple of days.

    Trying to improve some old models of ours and follow Leif's succefull example with the chain mail that its rings allows the tunic's colors to be shown i came to this result.


    Ofcoourse in Thematic army troops the chain mail is darker to reflect its cheaper iron material that was made of.
    The example I had is this creation of Leif.


    In the Varangian Guard case the chain mail is more shiny thanks to its steel material that was made of...
    Please any one that has some expirience in this post some advices to make it better.
    The chain mail patern is a creation of Absinthia!

    PS : Please ignore the model I am trying to come a texture result and that old model's tunics help me in the visual result.

    It looks very good, in vanilla chain mail always bothered me. It looked like a bumpy rag not metal rings. But this looks great!

    Perhaps in the texture work with the bump_map filter or another normal_map.

    With bump-map filter you can make more 3D in a texture.
    For example:

    with the filter:


    Because of the lightning or refelction of metal, far as I know, this made the normal_map.
