Do I see gothic armour captains?
Seriously though, great stuff, can't wait for the next preview
Strat_map models will be based on the final characters models.
So we have to have atleast every faction to use its characters inorder to produse the proper strat_map models once and for all.
EDIT:
Arab spear levy ...
The officer is a "time traveler"![]()

Nice!
What about different tunic colors?
As said in this part i create the units ussing the generic consepts.
In the next stage each major faction will have its own tunic colors always based on the main consept.
I have limited texturing -to none actually-skill but when i will finish the "production" of these main consepts -units and their upgrades-i will seek for a texturer.
This time many of TGC/CBUR members are kind of inactive thanks to fammily or work issues.
SN though still works on the map Gatomarine still works on the coding and couple of others (including me) still work in modeling etc...
I have in mind to create two line of muslim peasantry.
The other line will be based on these guys.
These models are some of the oldest in TGC mod made by Absinthia.
We are going to change heads and weaponry to make them fit in what TGC is today.
You will notice that half of them use much longer tunics ...I am thinking of using them in north Africa islamic factions when the "chandax" style as you see them above will remain in Syria and Sicily.
Afcourse any kind of help is always wellcomed.![]()

Amazing units again! +rep
AnthoniusII, thanks for pictures. I have some comments to them:
In picture where there are 3 Umayyad cavlrymen the man with bow is from Balkh, now province of Afghanistan.
In another there is description ''Transoxanian horse archer''.
In next is description that warriors are from Iraq.
Two aiming seems to be ghulams but I'm not sure, there is no description.
One from image ''great expansion'' is Persian, Ansar is unknown origin. Moreover, weren't Ansar warriors and camel riders (warrior with probably Russian description) only mounted infantry?
About figures: there is no descriptions about period and orirgin of these warriors and sources on which they are based.
Most strinking is picture of Arab HA in Poitiers battleCan you send me description of this picture?
And maybe also something more from book ''Saracen faris'' if you have It. I mean mainly descriptions not pictures alone.
Still I think that some ilustrations have less or more dose of imagination and descriptions will be more helpful, I'm waiting for some written sources![]()
Which pics ? can I see too ?
Btw isn't Muslim cavalry in Poitiers was described as melee cavalry ? at least several descriptions about battle I saw and wiki says that, is there any description about horse archers ? otherwise, its another victim to eastern warrior stereotype.

Now lets see if you ever payed attention in the details we post here about the mod.
A small quiz (members of TGC/CBUR are not allowed to answer).
See this picture.
Something is strange-not inacurate though- in it. what might it be?
To help you, don't even bother with the strat_map models of the officers nore the banners.

I've got problem with sending private messages. I were trying to send images that I received from AnthoniusII to Tureuki, I pressed ''submit message'' and It seemed to be ok but when I've checked It in ''sent items'' there were no messagesI don't know where I make mistake... Any ideas?
I received the message![]()

Prince Nikephoros in turn 6?
I want you all to know how beautiful you are. No body--and nobody--can ever change that fact, and no mirror will ever be able to truly reflect it. The world is a better place with you in it.
No Carpathian mountains there! xD
And the corect answer is...The date..
6381 Y(ear)F(rom)T(he)B(irth)of the W(orld).
It was the formal calendar of Roman Empire.![]()
Of course! It would only make sense, after all everyone used the roman calendar.
The common "Saracen" roster (common for all major Islamic factions).
1: Arab peasants
2: Arab spear militia (tier 1 and tier 2)
3: Arab horsemen (javelin cavalrymen with swords as secondary weapons)
Tier one no armor, tier 2 padded or leather armor, tier 3 short "iron" chain mail.
4: Saracen Spearmen tier1 iron made chain mail,tier2 scale/lammelar cuirasses, tier 3 scale/lammelar cuirasses over chain mail.
5: Saracen Swordmen (same as spearmen)
6: Saracen Archers (only the 1st two tiers as spearmen/swordmen)
7: Saracen marines (crossbowmen) tier 1 padded/leather suits ,tier 2 iron made chain mail.
8/9: Saracen Fursan (both lancers and archers).
10: Arab nobles
11: Ghilman (both lancers and archers)
12: Abid Al Shira (their model and apearence will depend on which faction
they will belong but in most cases north african warriors will be the basis of that unit with only few exeptions.
13: ? Pallace guards (swordmen?) should they be based on Ghilman with addition of some nobles?
14: Emir's guards.
Now..According to each faction placement on the map certain AOR islamic units will be available.
Also some Dyansty changes on certail factions will unlock unique units that were famous of that dynasty.
We estimate that an average number of 18 units will be available for Islamic factions.
These extra units wont be related on other AOR made units such Armenian border guards,Armenian Nobles etc..
