Awesome, so many mods have great models then when you try to use them in a battle they just stand there looking silly holding javelins in the air.

I think he was talking bout vegatation

Black sea coasts, a lot green, dense forests, hilly, narrow plains.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Kastamonu by Sinan Doğan, on Flickr

Central Anatolia, scarce forests(but not desert!), vast plains, occasional hills and mountains, its gets greener in spring and yellowish and fall.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Mediterranean, mountainous(Tauros mountains), forests(not as dense as black sea), narrow plains
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Aegean region is quite similar, except mountains at there are not so massive.

    perfect!

but i have sometimes the feeling, that in tgc´s timeframe the environment different, not so humanised and used, maybe more wooded a.s.o.
i think that the medieval regions saw a massive deforrestation and big transformation because of cattle and sheep herding.

Yes exactly, keep it wilder and less touched, there were way more forests in Central Anatolia then today, especially neighbouring areas of coastal regions. I know a first hand example of this, at the region my grandparents came from, surrounding hills and little mountains were actually covered by pine forests, but since there was no protection and they are gradually destroyed and only a small part remained, since 1-2 decades there is a process of restoration of forests, last I checked it was looking fine.

Cool I don't know how you have done other regions but keep in mind mountains in Aegean region are not so big, and usually there is not much of a passage problem.

    .
With Koultouras, we made a lot of experiments until all javelinmen work properly!
It was not easy though! M2TW engine does have proper animations and EDU entries but they need to be adjusted with proper stats!
Also we found a way javelinmen to hold javelins as spears (and not with javelins with their spearheads look down) by experimenting with bone assignments of javelins them selves!
That is what Realism/Gravity project is all about!
When this mod will be released that tutorial will be part of H.E.L.P. project too!

This news has almost killed me! Not knowing how to thank you, I've chosen this small church of the IX century, now fully restored and saved, it's one of the most beautiful little gems of the Byzantine (OK! sorry: Eastern Roman! )
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Architecture and Civilization in Italy, it's called 'La Cattolica di Stilo', it's so small but also so absolutely perfect in its proportion and geometry that IMO it can stand alongside the Ravenna's great Cycle, from Wiki: "The Cattolica was built in the 9th century, when Calabria was part of the Byzantine Empire. The name derives from the Greek word katholiki, which referred to the churches provided with a baptistery. It is one of the most important examples of Byzantine architecture, together with the church of San Marco in Rossano Calabro.", now,as I said, it has been saved and restored and this is really a good thing (one of the few today in Italy!):

I'm here for some years now, because I believe in your work, and whatever I can think about the definition of 'Byzantine' or 'Roman', I love this Early Medieval Age on which you're working and I love Greece, that magical land made of stone and water, which has built the roots of our European Civilization, I don't know what would be Italy without the Greek legacy, nor I want to image my country without its Greek roots, it's for me simply impossible and almost a nightmare thinking Italy without Greece.
Anyway I advise you, Anto: I'll play the Last Langobard Dukedoms of the South, ready to fight till the last man, to save the legacy of the good King Alwin!
Heh, I didn't know such small churches were built in our timeframe - I thought they became "fashionable" later, around the Komnenoi and Palaelogoi eras. Perhaps it's just a chapel? In any case, it's most intricate and absolutely beautiful!
Btw, it reminds me a bit of our Asenova Krepost church, from the 12th-13th c.
