    That is correct. You don't have to create items, just modify them. Go through the list of items and make sure to change all of them to your new faction's requirements.

    Changing the name of a faction is similar to creating a new one. Page 6 - expanded.txt

    If you would make a faction currently only availeble in custom battles and make them a faction from game start would i then require to do all this.

    Custom battles only:

    The part about the new faction name(expanded.txt), new faction symbols (fe_symbols_80) and banners (descr_banners_new.xml) should be enough. Apart from the obvious entries for the units.

    no i meant a faction currently a custom battles only faction and make them a faction in the campaign

    The above inverted (everything else but those). If you are lucky, then the previous modders might have already done most of the work. Simply check it point by point.

    Simply follow the instructions and apply it to the TATW mod. If some files are not present in TATW, then you need to unpack them from the base game.

    CFG files can be opened with notepad. But it shouldn't be necessary for this.

    Maybe I'm not seeing something, but there's no option to run the New Factions Installer. It just opens as a .txt document and I don't even have the option. Could Windows 7 have something to do with it?

    Once you have downloaded New Factions 0.002.rar you need to extract it and then run the exe. It will install into the mods\new_faction folder.

    I have a problem; I completed tutorial but it won't start no mather which faction I try to play. Log says
