but i say good sir what of the great greek fire? will i be turning my foolish adversaries into chard chips? surley for such a great mod. And what of the city up the top of the map that builds byzinten troops it seems very out of the way maybe it could be more central?? Maybe pope island could do with an additional city?

I am assuming you have never read the hardcoded limits for the MTWII engine, as we are at the region limit, so no more settlements/regions can be added.

The byzantine style troops, are there to add some spice to the wotan regions, as this is a fairly vanilla faction. Their existance is explained by the former cosmopolitan nature of wotan society.

Change in the animation system rules out the inclusion of the greek fire units, (which to honest Ive never really like) so no they wil not be included. This is offset by the many new projectile types that are included in the mod.

I installed MTW again just to try this mod and I am really glad I did, I absolutely love it!
    I give it 95/100 And I still haven't tried V3.
Anyways, thank you for your amazing work!

You should try V3 beta rather sooner than later - it's the real thing now!

I gather you really like this mod don't you? For such high mark I need more eye candy.
I just tried a couple of turns with Gaelic Nations in beta but I didn't notice much difference. I'll try other factions. But overall it's a fantastic mod and I'm definitely sticking to it.

V3 (beta) has all the new eyecandy made by Tzar, completely new faction symbols, UI etc.
    See this thread for details

So, this is the feedback thread?

I played V1 a looooong time ago, and I liked it but I thought something was missing. A week ago I saw that V3 was out and wanted to check it out.

And well, no known words could fit what I'd like to say. I love it, I love the factions and their lore backgrounds (although I miss an italian faction). That's all. Thanks Oneill, and thanks to you'r entire team.

What I love in this mod is the ultimate variety you find in the various armies. I can't stop discovering new efficent tools the one or the other do use, having played Tahars a little, their strategic flexibility is amazing, and you don't really need to push further than castle to dominate your neighbours.

What a gorgeous mod ! The amount of work sunk into it is Impressive.

    You know what I mean!

Anyways I've always hated the old roman empire. They are so... roman.

    These romans are crazy.

I was a big proponent of Medici being turned into a real faction, but now I've played a bit more I think it would be hard to have them really different from other renaissance factions, while Romuli bring a real different gameplay, even if they're too 'universally' european to be considered a true Italian faction. Great cosmopolitan, tolerant empires, which prizes development and progress (and...and...etc)above all else often lack the nationalistic feel attached to what the every day european considers a nation.

What exactly do you mean by Italian then? IMO the roman era is when the italians were most unique from the rest of the world

I was just joking on the Romuli/Italian thing even though it makes sense from a certain point of view. I assume Sander wants a Venice/Milan-like faction.

I began playing the total war series on Medieval, so I didn't really get to meet the romans. And yes, I was talking about a medieval italian republic.
