    Default Picture of the Week (PotW) & Unedited Screenshot of the Week (UESW) Rules and Information

    General Competition Rules & Regulations
    1. Submissions must be screenshots originating from any of the Total War series games or modifications designed for them.
    2. Screenshots must originate from either the campaign map or the battle map. All other entries such as loading screens will not be accepted as valid submissions.
    3. Each user is allowed two (2) votes per contest at the discretion of the Competition Manager. Users may not vote for their own submission. Any use of alternate accounts is strictly prohibited and will result in action taken against those who break these terms.
    4. Advertising for the PotW and UESW competitions is allowed. Asking for votes in any way however is strictly prohibited and will result in action taken against those who violate these terms.
    5. A submission can only be entered in either the PotW or the UESW competition, not both in the same week. Whether or not the image has been manipulated or not is of no consequence. Also each submission can only be entered in once to either the PotW or the UESW. You can't enter into the UESW again with a submission already used before in the UESW for example.
    6. The PotW & UESW Manager will take whatever steps necessary to ensure the integrity of both the PotW and UESW contests at their discretion.
    7. Have fun and be creative. It's a community competition. It's all for enjoyment.


    Competition Procedures
    1. Competition cycles for the PotW & the UESW will begin and end on Saturday of each week at the Manager's discretion.
    2. There will be two (2) submission threads opened: one for PotW entries and one for UESW entries.
    3. All posts contained in these threads will be only for submissions into the weekly competitions. All other comments will be deleted accordingly.
    4. There will be two (2) vote threads opened: one for PotW voting and one for UESW voting.
    5. Entries will be named "Submission x" based on order of submission.
    6. In the event there is a tie for either the PotW or the UESW challenge from the previous week, there will be a voting thread opened that will last for three (3) days. At the end of that three (3) day voting cycle the winner for the previous week's challenge will be determined.
    7. Voting results shall remain private until the close of the voting cycle. At that time results will be made public for the community to see.
    8. There will be one (1) congratulatory thread opened. It will hold the winners of the previous week's PotW and UESW challenge.
    9. Once threads have lived through their weekly cycle, they shall be moved to the Archives section where they will be housed for record keeping purposes.
    10. Each month the PotW & UESW Manager will update the "Leaderboard and Simplified Archive" thread with the previous PotW month's winners, entries, and medal recipients if applicable.


    Picture of the Week (PotW) Specific Rules
    1. All General Competition Rules and Regulations apply.
    2. Submissions may be either edited or unedited screenshots.
    3. For submissions to be considered valid, the entry must be accompanied with the unedited original screenshot in 'spoiler' tags.
    4. Submissions must be taken by yourself in-game. All other entries will not be considered valid submissions
    5. Animations, videos and renders are not allowed and will not be considered valid submissions.


    Unedited Screenshot of the Week (UESW) Specific Rules
    1. All General Competition Rules and Regulations apply.
    2. Submissions must be unedited screenshots. All other entries will not be considered valid submissions.
    3. Submissions must be taken by yourself in-game. All other entries will not be considered valid submissions
    4. Cropping the screenshot is the only altercation allowed. Adding borders is not allowed and will invalidate the submission.


    Picture of the Week (PotW) Medal
    As per the Section V, Article II of the Constitution of Total War Center, winners of multiple Picture of the Week (PotW) competitions may qualify for the Picture of the Week (PotW) Medal. Those members who qualify for these awards will be awarded by the PotW & UESW Manager. UESW wins do not apply.



    A Medal can be awarded to any member of the Total War Center forums. Specific medals can be created or approved at the discretion of the Curia through an appropriate amendment to this section, or at the discretion of the site administrators. Every medal approved or created by the Curia is listed in the appropriate section below along with its necessary qualifications. Medals not formally approved or created by the Curia are not listed below, but can still be awarded at the discretion of the site administrators.

    Picture of the Week Competition
    Winners of the Picture of the Week contest (POTW) qualify for the POTW medal. The medal will be awarded according to the following schedule:
    • 3-8 wins - bronze medal
    • 9-14 wins - silver medal
    • 15+ wins - gold medal
    Any member can qualify for this award.


    Punishments
    1. Forumban.
    2. Win count reset to 0.
    3. Moderator interaction.
    4. Award removal.
    5. Submission disqualification.
    6. Punishments at Manager's discretion based on intent, severity, and occurrence. Not limited to single punishment. May be coupled with others.


    Manager's Notes
    1. The current PotW & UESW Manager is Daily
    2. Please feel free to forward all inquiries or suggestions to me in a private message. I will respond as soon as possible.
    3. Rules and Regulations are subject to change with or without notice and will be effective immediately. I will make sure it is with notice as much as possible.
    4. Remember, these are community competitions and are supposed to be fun and enjoyable for all members. Let's try to keep it that way.
    5. Please feel free to give reputation to members if you enjoy their work. It's never mandatory but a great courtesy to show appreciation and respect.
    6. Anyone submitting an entry from a modification they enjoy, please feel free to post the name and link of the modification in your submission post. Of course this also isn't mandatory, but is a sign of respect and appreciation for the modder's or mod team's hard work.
    7. Enjoy and appreciate one another's talents and always try to give a helping hand. Above all. Have fun.
