The morale bonus was definately field tested, using the threshold changes on unit cards and altering morale bonuses. There was no threshold change when upgrading via building bonus on a test unit. My thoughts are there are upgrade 'triggers' for armour and weapons(via docudemons if I recall?),but nothing I can see for morale? To make Temple bonuses useful,I change to another,ie law or happiness instead.

I'd like to add two other sources of non-error report CTD's:

    - Changing the format of text files: some text files (in general those which are placed into data/text folder) have to be saved in Unicode, while those placed into Data folder (related to coding) have to be saved into ANSI format.
    - Corrupted animations: if the animations have been poorly packed and the pack file is corrupted, it will lead to a CTD as well. I can't define exactly what is "poorly packed" right now. I know the file was corrupted cause I changed it by a previous version and it worked ok. And then, I repacked the new animations and it got it to work.

Both CTDs are caused while the game is loading (just started)

Ok, I hope this is useful for someone... It would have been useful for me!

    Not sure if already covered:
.tga.dds files for models_unit/textures need to be under 100kb and formatted in DTX5 (BC3/DTX5, in GIMP w/dds plugin) to work with ALEX expansion (untested with BI and RTW) or you get a CTD when entering battles.
