You don't have to give three votes, but you may, so don't worry, there's nothing wrong with voting for only one (or two) contestant(s).

    Read my AARs:
The Legacy of Megas Alexandros (Europa Barbarorum as Arche Seleukeia, currently 55 chapters - updated 25th of August)
The Prodigal Son (Shogun 2 as Mori, updated 12th of January)

Btw, I had no clue the voting was on already!
I wish I had more votes to cast. The guys participating have all made me spend hours staring at my screen and the fine lines that they drew with their minds!
But my imagination and inspiration came from and are owed to Xavier thus he had one vote reserved for him from me. The rest, I think You will be able to see when the voting is done?

    @thermal - What rules?!!?

Sounds ominous, what happens if you only vote for one? Like I did. Wish I had realised you could vote for three and I would have given myself one.

john, in your case you have been the most noble voter in the history of AARs.

To everyone who wants to give more votes , PM to _Pontifex_ , he will change your votes accordingly.

You can cast any number of votes you'd like to, although it's reasonable to vote only for 3 as there are 3 winning places. This thread should tell more about this subject.

Sim: Personally I would suggest that you just allow everyone to cast any number of votes and ignore the issue. It's not like that will make the poll less fair.

PW: Why are you sure about this?

Sim: It really doesn't affect the fairness of the result. If someone votes for more people they improve each one's chance by less, and if they vote for fewer people they improve each one's chance by more. It balances out. Allowing people to vote for however many they want is called approval voting and is the most reasonable way to proceed here.

Wow, that's true. Should be obvious, but it isn't.

Wow, that's true. Should be obvious, but it isn't.
*cough*cough*cough* ...not the only one voting for others, but having three votes, one needs to go for yourself .
If the participants in the competition think they don't deserve one of those three votes, how come they joined up for the competition?

I have a suggestion for future competitions tho.
Give everyone a 3point, 2point and 1point votes. Then we should be able to make difference between those votes we cast?:hmmm:

For me the competitions are fun, although I don't think I'll be entering the first three places, considering the quality and the public approval of some writings compared to my AAR. So, why not join up, when you have fun with it? Also, more nominations give a broader variety and we want a real choice when we vote, don't we?

I think that's technically not possible.

Heh, this is my first AAR, and I probably wouldn't have participated if it wasn't for mollsomg. he asked me to join.
I liked the idea, and thought, hell why not, after all, we're all putting our minds and time into these AAR's, and as Olympics moto says:"it's important to participate, not winning" or whatever it is in English heheh.
