I voted for Pink beard, though perhaps prejudice as i haven't has time to read all AAR's seeing as it is his first AAR (like mine is

When my AARs languished at the bottom end of the vote, I used to take comfort that at least mine was the best-written. But now there are better writers than me in the competition and I feel obliged to vote for some of them.

But I still have something they lack... hordes of Picts and quotes from my patron Juvenal.
