    That is precisesly how we will portray them, two independent factions, although when one becomes too small we will likely let them merge.

    i noticed some camel (?) resources in western parts of the hre in the actuall bfb2-map and in this preview HRE (southwest of pisek and south of nieumeghen)

    Hello,
    i read in the 1648tw tread about so called "reservist städte". this are castles in orgin, but they look like a city in the campaign and battlemap.
    so the map can show more town´s/castles than max 198 with this reserviststädte and this towns can guard strategical points. i don´t know if the map of B:TW is allready on the citymaxlimit - but if so, this could be improve some more towns on the map.

    Tartaros, that would help indeed. But thats an addition for later, when 1648 works nice and we have released a first version.

    Earendil, on that map is the HRE going to have all those regions? Are you going to add some measures preventing the HRE overrunning all the neighbours?

    The HRR will be splitted in some 5-7 factions, I think that helps XD

    a splittup for hre would be awesome. are you create something like a reichscript, election of the emperor, rebellion of the "süddeutscher Städtebund" in 1375?

    I had thought:
    -Wittelsbach
    -Luxemburg
    -Hansestädte
    -Kaiser (Nurnberg, Frankfurt/Main, Aachen) -> pope faction while faction leaders can be chosen... I'm not enough into coding to be sure that all work exactly, but after what I've read, it would seem to work.
    -Bischofe
    -Pommern
    -Sachsen
    -Geldern/Kleve/Berg/Gulik/Mark (as they were very intertwined and combined and splitted quite often)
    -Brandenburg

    The emperor will leave it's faction (which is ahistorical) but otherwise it would require much scripting I'm not willing to do at the moment.

    What a detailed and historical map!
    i like that hamburg is now danish and Riga+Danzig are independent. also the territories fit in very well (rebels in northern sweden and finland). Slesia is now a perfect trophy for the rival factions.

    Can you specify exact date? In case of Poland's territorial range that really matters.

    I know, But we didnt decide which date we would take, so everything between 1280 and 1310 is possible. It simply depends on the different factions and their size or whether they gained or lost anything which date will be chosen. I aim it to be the best fitting for the rest of the mod as the game often doesnt change much when only AI is involved.

    *Note* Finland is not part of Scandinavia. Finland is part of the north, not Finland, even if Sweden at a later point invaded Finland. (Would be during crusades, definently not before)

    *point made* but this is after most of the crusades, and what would you call the baltics? Estonia and Finland are pretty much the same in culture and language even in history. I'm not that much interested in exactly the right words, But If you like, I will include Finland in the Baltics instead of Scandinavia. I'd rather not use the north/nordic countries as Svallbard and Iceland belong to that as well (as C. Anz in Gilden im Mittelaltlicher Skandinavien rightly said).
