Shouldnt this mod be modfoldered just using a BI.exe that way all users could actually play the mod and it would greatly improve popularity for EoD.

If I remember rightly it's only the intro movie that isn't in the -mod folder. Given that atmosphere and a sense of foreboding are a big part of this mod we thought it worth including the intro.

May that be more people would still be able to play it if the .exe was worked to play with RTW aswell as BI. The modfoldered bit I was not neccessarily sure about... I ment if it was not modfoldered. But yeah how hard is it to .exe convert it to rome?

It would take a skilled coder several solid days to do the repaths and make the other platform-specific changes. Then it would need to be tested of course. I did it for FATW. And, no...I've retired

Damn you MasterOfNone
But yeah a few days to make your mod much more playable, sounds worth it.
C'mon MasterOfNone you should retire from modding projects not modding as general... we need you! lol...

Neither myself or Mak have any plans for EoD I and porting it to RTW was never on the cards anyway. We at EoD central are quite comfortable with the cult status the EoD mods have, we never envisioned 20,000+ DL's nor really care. You see if you make a mod for the masses you're bound over to expand, tweak, and refresh it with version after version. We preferred to make the best mod we could with one version and let people enjoy it. Besides if we were still updating EoD I we could never have made EoD II, Sicilia, Prince's Kings and Hero's or Warlords of Sparta. Or contributed to GaFM and VI II among others.
well said HS
Hmmm fair enough...

Yes, well said. FATW for RTW is not supported either. FATW is a BI mod and that it where the development and focus is.
As to my retirement, I retired from FATW with the release of The New Shadow 2.0b (end of 2007) and - I thought at the time - "general modding". Well, then I did Gods & Fighting Men, the Multi-Mod Sampler, the Dwarven Blunderbuss, Title of Liberty, modfoldered EB 1.0 and then Viking Invasion II. Building mods from ground up - even ones where much is contributed & where Aradan does all the balancing and traits - is still extremely time consuming. Goodness knows how long I have spent on modding between 2004 until the end of last year (and a bit of this year with helping Visitor and the surprise for Vi2 fans!). I once worked out iirc that I spent 3000 hours (yes, three thousand) on FATW up until the point of the release of Forth Eorlingas - and that was ages ago.
I think I am entitled to retired now. The thing is with modding, you can always find something else to tweak, make or improve...you have to call it quits at some point!
But world design, whether in games or stories, will always be in my heart.
Now let's just hope the ETW demo does not tempt me back!

Yeah I agree with Aradan!
Making a mod made specifically to work on a certain version I guess I can understand but like FATW the RTW ability was there.
