    1-yes, it is meant for alex: hardcoded limits on the number of models made it inevitable.
    2-if you know what you're doing: nothing--at least at this time. once the mod is complete, porting it to BI will cause a CTD at the loading screen.

    the animations are complete (SYW_french_musketeer, _bayonet, etc.)?
    If it's all right I can try to set up a campaign for BI (if you have permission)

    Played a battle last night. Absolutely brilliant work with the graphics, sounds, and -- most especially -- the animations, Gen. Woolfe. A scene right out of Barry Lyndon, and much more accurate than Empire, IMHO.

    I do not work, nor for RTW it for ALEX.

    When I boot gives me error in the file descr_formation_ai.text.

    How do I make it work?

    I installed the latest version "SYW" of your new link inside the folder Rome Total War.

    yeah, I've been getting a few notices regarding the descr_formation_ai file.

    I'm working on the problem atm, and I am not sure yet as to what is causing the problem. I'll be contacting certain people who will be able to help.

    in the meantime, I am terribly sorry for the issues.

    OK, so this has an attachment that is a stop-gap measure, and temporary as such. DO NOT play a siege battle with this: don't even risk a battle in an unwalled settlement.

    in the meantime, further issues have been detected:

    1-the french version of the Saxon infantry have a directory problem. choosing them will cause a CTD
    2-there is an unpredictable instant CTD, always involving the Swedes or the Danes. This happens regardless of formation AI, your formation, or where you choose to fight. you can still play with them, but be careful.
    3-some skins do not match the model they belong to. due to the large number of units and small staff, it's easy to miss a few units (I take that back--a lot). let me know which units are which: the best clue will be the way the waist area is: it'll have weird triangular patters of the color of the waistcoat.

    also, since some of you have the mod working, and some not, I would ask of you who can't get their mod working to go over your installation, to make sure the download or installation isn't corrupted on your end. there's little I can do about that.

    and yes, I'm afraid it does not--at least for you. it seems to have worked for a few others.

    EDIT: wait, is your RTW installation clean? also, did you have a previous version of SYW on your computer? if so, did you tinker with it?

    Yes, it was clean RTW.

    I deleted the previous version.

    The text file is descr_sounds_enviro.text, at line 550 and column 22.
