Default Okay, so I'm like a total noob

I found this game from this forum and I'd like some advice

1.Now what mods do you recommend? Is vanilla good compared to mods?

2.How do you increase the amount of men on the battle field? How much does it affect drain on my computer?

    3. Any other tips are also welcome

If you like 16th to 17th ccentury warfare, get the Eagle and the Radiant Cross Mod To increase the amount of men you have to go to the options menue, you will then see a slider. Kill lots of sea raiders and looters

Trust me friend, when you start playing mods you'll never play vanilla again.

If you want mods that still have the vanilla main campaign just expand on the gameplay, you've got lots of choices. Stainless Steel, Deus Lo Vult, Darth Mod etc. They're all very good and your best bet would just be too go to the m2tw (I'm guessing thats what your talking about) hosted modifications forum and checking them all out yourself.

If you want to get more specialized, theres always Broken Crescent. Same timeframe as vanilla, but it's set far into the middle east. It be what I'm playing now.

Oh, one more question. Where can I find the bloody cattle for the village quests? I checked the whole area around the village, both in battle and campaign...

You can buy them from village elders or steal them. My advice: don't do village quests.

If you raid a village you might have the luck to find some also

I'm wondering the same. I tried the LOTR mod, the Last days, but I didn't really like it that much. I think they're porting it, though, so hopefully it will be better.
I heard there is a mod which can help you get up to 1k men.
Kill looters and forest bandits. Stay away from Sea Bandits untill you get a fairly nice army, as they can give you a nasty surprise.

Well he is the commander of the Colalition for the Liberation of Itinerate Tree-dwellers. You'd have to be pretty dim to be the commander of that.
