I had the exact same problem as you have right now.
I have just come across this and this is the game mod I have wanted for years, the subject is really unstudied. Could I ask if what the most stable version is? The one which uses the Medieval disc or the Kingdoms version?
PS Does this mod feature Wallingford castle?
one which uses the medieval disc is the stable one.....in the kingdoms version game crashes when either of the faction leader is on the battlefield before the start of the battle....u have to auto resolve if the enemy's army has its king as the general.

I allready played this mod a lot and love it to death ,but after my PC was broken recently and i just got it back ,i cannot make this work again!(cannot remember how i did it before as it was late 2008 i did it the last time)
I allready DLed one of the above links and put it in my Kingdoms map but then what ?
I see a FKOC map now but none of the files inside makes the game start

why should kingdoms be preferred over 1.3 for this mod?
I installed the mod, and it won't work, I then tried to use the Vista fix, and it only ended up with that now the mod won't start and I only get vanilla kingdoms
I have a problem with the start. I want to run MOD but can not because there is no icon. I installed Kingdoms v1.5 Please know what's wrong? thanks
check in your med 2 folder for a batch file ^-^. it should be there along with the .cgf

I have to cfg, add some commands? if so what? because when I start dosing file so I can now closed.
well if you have a batch file called "for_king_or_country" in your med 2 folder simply click on it and it should load the game
to create a shortcut with an icon, right click on the batch file and select "create shortcut". Right click on the shortcut and select "properties" then "change icon"
otherwise reinstall the game and look in your Med 2 Folder

I was wondering after all the fixes u need to make. A mod about the 3 years war just came out, I thought it would be just like this after playing this mod for 2 years or so. Then I saw that their artillery units have 6 guns each, their range units don't fall back after every volley. So I was wondering, since we can now do this in kingdoms if we can make these kinds of changes in our combat system.

artillery is fine the way it is, and to stop musketeers running away, turn on skirmish mode. That should mean the first rank fires then kneels then the 2nd rank fires anf then the first rank fires again.
Havin 6 artillery pieces per unit would make them overpowered. It was not the dominent part of a battle
