Simon Scarrow has released Young Bloods which is the first in a quartet of a semi-fictional novel of the lives of Napoleon and Wellington, arguably the two most famous and/or best generals of the period. I thought it was a very good read but it only deals with those two generals, so you may be looking for something more factual covering all nations.
Have a look for the following;
Sébastien Le Prestre, (Vauban)
François Henri de Montmorency
John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough,
Eugene de Savoy,
Charles XII of Sweden,
Maurice de Saxe,
Frederick the Great,
Ferdinand of Brunswick,
Leopold Von Daun
Alexander Suvurov
Its a start and by no means exhaustive, just the first that spring to mind.

Look up Lewenhaupt, Rehnskiöld, Stenbock.
And on the Russian side we have: Though my spelling may be slightly off...
Peter The Great (He was a capable military leader as well as reformer)
Menshikov
Sherementev
Apraksin
However, the above are simply from the Great Northern War... Later in the century came the exploits of a great general whoses perhaps best known for not only has actions against the Polrd and Turks, but also for his campaigning in Italy which drove nearly evey French soldier from Italy in 1799 I believe.
Alexander Suvorov, fourth generalissimo of Russia (As mentioned earlier ^^)
NOTICE: In reference to my avatar, the blue and gold sickle and hammer represent a variation of 'red' communism, my variation with its blue, standing for nuetriality and peace, and gold, for prosperity through cooperation, is a system my own... I am not evil. Thank you.

Field Marshal Carl Gustaf Rehnskiöld
Swedish General during the great northern war. He was one of the leading generals at the Battle of Narva, he won the battle of Fraustadt, commanded the Swedish army at Poltava. Etc, etc.
Prince Poniatowski (PLC)
Tadeusz Kosciuszko (PLC)
Kazimierz Pulaski (PLC)
Bernardo de Galvez (Spain)
Ernst von Laudon (Habsburg)
Franz Moritz von Lacy (Habsburg)
And of course, Theobald Wolfe Tones, the father of modern militant Republicanism.
'When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything. '
-Emile Cammaerts' book The Laughing Prophets (1937)
Under the patronage of Nihil. So there.
Suvorov. his military genious has been unmatched by Russian generals even until today. simply brilliant strategist and a commander gifted from god. needless to say, he never lost a single battle.
The Classic Approach
Fieldmarshal Suvorov : Suworow, Suvarov, Suvoroff
A bit off topic:song "Genaralissimo Suvorov" by ensemble cadet:
(Generalissimo Suvorov,... Ura! Ura! ura!)
Song from soviet times:
Then this commercial of "Bank Imperial" . THOSE WERE COMMERCIALS YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN! I strongly recomend seeing some more of them! Altough in Russian, the commercials are worth watching!
Ekatarina:"Why doesn't graf Suvorov eat?"
Suvorov: "We may not eat before the first start,... I'm waiting(with
great gestes)..."
...some moment of silence...
Ekatarina: "A star to Suvorov Alexandr Vasilievich"
(A tradition, not to eat before first star appears in the sky, bu I think you all gessed what the real star was...)
So you see, Suvorov is know almost only inside Russia. But for that matter, there has always been some kind of invisible wall between West and East. From where many misconceptions come, or complete ignorance (not negative meaning) about MANY things concerning Russia...
By the way, this is the commercial about Petr I:
