You should try setting up camp and resting a bit or maybe stay in a town for a couple of nights. The latter would be much much more safer because you could be attacked at any random moment while setting up camp in the wilderness.
unlike other first person games, mount and blade is all natural. no potions, no magical powers, no nothing. the only way to heal is to stay in a tavern or make camp, but making camp takes much more time to heal

Actually I think it's fine without healing potions. In fact I like Garnier's idea for wounding.
is there anyway i can give my guys horses? or how can i see if one of them rogue guys you can buy in a tavern has a horse? also how do i issue orders? i dont want my cavalry riding off at the start to fight the enemy lol

click on party member in your party screen
sometimes you can find horsemen in taverns, otherwise you might be able to talk to the "rogue guy" lol...
to issue orders hit backspace.
this takes theing piss, most of the quests are just taking a letter to one castle to another because some reason all of the places on the map cant afford a runner, but on top of all of that i always get attacked by superior forces, even if i have mercenaries with me, if i outnumber them i will still die to a bunch of
ing mountain bandits or looters, not like i can make any money either since most of the quests you just deliver letters and the others you need a load of money to give to people so they will give you money that they owe another lord, i dont get this at all, wtf am i supposed to do?
Well to get the best quests and to get your own fief to tax you should join a faction, to do this get 160-180 renown and talk to a King or become best buddies with a King. Alternatively if you have a little start up money go to tournaments and bet on yourself if you bet 100 every round you can end up with around 4100.
Thanks, i have calmed down a little bit now, how long should it take to be able to join a faction by doing quests, btw do i do quests for everyone lord to get my rep with with a faction? Also, should i train peasants or should i get mercenaries?
I go with peasants, personally.

Question: How do I make money
Well dear adventurer, there are several ways in the early stages of the game to make money.
- You can go to a town, and go to the Arena, there, you join in the melee fight (not a tournament) you will get a few measly pennies if you can mannage to knock out a few oponents, and you will gain a little bit of experience and weapons proficiencies so it's nice, try to acumulate some money and then asses the trade goods of the city, this will tell you what to buy and where to sell it. you can go around selling goods here and there as a trader, be carefull however and make sure that you can either outrun or outfight anyone with plans regarding your life limbs and goods that are contradictory to your own plans for said life limbs and goods.
After acumulating some money, if you feel confident enough, you may want to ask the arena masters where tournaments will be held, next go to those places and join the tournaments, you'll get some money for winning, and if you feel confident enough you can make a small fortune by betting on yourself. Just hope your confidence is just or be prepared to face dissapointment and the grin on the face of the arena master who is now the owner of your denars.
When you become stronger, and have a few able fighters in your party, you might want to concider attacking sea raiders, The loot from their boddies is either worth some money or strong enough to make sure you don't have to buyexpensive armour anytime soon.
lastly, if you are the working/questing type you could allways go and talk tot he guild master in the city (you will have to walk the streets and search for him) and ask him for a job, usually they pay well enough.
Question: is there anyway i can give my guys horses? or how can i see if one of them rogue guys you can buy in a tavern has a horse? also how do i issue orders? i dont want my cavalry riding off at the start to fight the enemy lol
If your guys are one of the hero compangions, then yes you can give them horses. The heroes will be the men in taverns that have actual first names. To give them horses, buy a horse then go to the party screen, click on your hero, talk to him and ask him to show you his equipment, next put the horse in the horse slot.
To see if a mercenary in the Tavern will be riding gloriously into battle on a steed, look at his name, There are 3 types who will be on horseback, these are: the Carravan guard, the Horseman, and off course the Mercenary cavalry. Mercenaries and Hired blades are usefull infantry and watchmen come with crossbows.
I know it wasn't asked but here's how the mercenary tree upgrades:
farmer ->townsman->watchman->Carravan guard
Carravan guard-> horseman->mercenary cavalry
Carravan guard-> mercenary->hired blade
I believe your question about quests has been handled in the how do I make money part
Question: should i train peasants or should i get mercenaries?
Personally, I tend to mix the two, I hire many peasants from either the Nords or the Rhodoks to serve as my infantry and ranged forces, and I hire mercenaries to act as cavalry, and to bolster my infantry lines.
It depends really on how much money I have and how great my need for descent infantry is

The best way to earn money is trading actually.
I earn 20k per week (game time) for simply trading (but my upkeep of army is 16k).![]()
