I like the Dalian designs. I don't even think the colours need to be changed much, except for a bit of dulling down; they give a clear identity to the army. As for the models, I agree about the shoulder plates being too big, and I don't like how the shields and sheaths are shades of blue. The only other thing I don't like is the lack of uniformity amongst the units. Civilian units don't matter so much, but professional units like the general's bodyguard, Bardian archers, etc. should all be wearing the same armour and helmets. I really like the Beoring guards with their upgraded armour; they look fantastic.

So it follows that the men of Dale would probably have similar armor and weapons as the Rohirrim -- the team could probably use the Rohan roster as a basis, reskin them, make most of them infantry instead of cavalry, then add a few special units (woodsmen/scouts, more archers, maybe war hounds) and bingo, you'd have a great Dale roster.

not sure if this has been stated but to me there is something not right about the shoulder pads on the spearmen and archers... don't know what it is though :S

i think the spearmen ones are a bit too blue and maybe they shouldn't stick out as much? or should look more connected to the rest of the armour? just my thoughts

aside from that they are awesome!

I think this has been posted before. Once again, all the models are great 10/10, but the color.... it looks too saturated

Looks great all except the shoulder pads on Dale Archers and Spearmen. Sorry, but that needs to be fixed - it looks kind of ridiculous.

Why is everyone so obsessed with dates?
Most of you check the forum every day anyway, so why do you care?

Thos shoulder caps are much better. I like the shape, but I think they are still a bit too thick and they stick out too much. But on the other hand now they got a new weapon, on their SHOULDERS. Great inspiration Kretchet.

Yeah, I've been here almost a year and I've asked date of release only once.

    So true

Other posters I have seen ask once....then they are destroyed and never heard from again

I found out the very first time I started reading this forum....."When it's done" and I've never had to ask

They are much better, make them a bit smaller perhaps when you use them.
I still think some units don't need anything on their shoulders (Dale archers).
That isn't such a good idea, for starter Rohan is not even done and you can definitely see a Rohan quality to some of the units, especially the helmets, but you can also see a dwarven influence, because of the the trade with erebor and a bit of elven because of green(mirk)wood elves.

I'm sure the final polishing of Dale units will be just fantastic and I can't wait to see them all.
And Eriador preview will prove me right when I say that Krechet is not just a rookie but a very good moder.
Well... I trust the guy, that simple!
