Have you never seen an axe before?

2 Mithrandir the Istari: yes. I send dual weapon animation few times before. But did you mean two give two axes for Beorings exept one 2handed? Actually it's good idea

to Krecht:
I have a question regarding Esgaroth warriors. In the first thread about Dale Esgaroth warriors were concived as longbowmen with spears. It seemed good for Dale to have a superior unit of spearmen in addition to their basic spears as they rely heavily on archers that need protection against cavalry. It seemed like a perfect fit for Dale. Elite warriors being spearmen and archers in the same unit. I regarded them as the very elite of Dale.
Now they are equipped with 2H axes and still look very formidable, but they seem to lack that deadly spear-bow combo that complement each other so well. I want to ask why was the spear idea changed with 2H axes and is there a possibility to reconsider??? thx.
I am slightly obsessed with longbows
I think maybe a 2handed axe for the Beorings, but not a very large one. They would make a very unique unit.
As for the spearmen/archers, how would that work? Would they switch between weapons formation style, or would they just pull out spears for melee? If it's the former they sacrifice special abilities, and if it's the latter their spears won't be very effective, as they'll technically be archers when charged by cavalry.
2 DjAci: The ecide to give them longbow ad halberd. That's better
2 Pvt. Parts& Mithandir: I could give 2h axes to simple variant and 2 axes as upgrade

"I vote for dualwield. Like I said, I was never a big fan of 2h units, and dualwield doesn't even exist in vanilla, making them more interesting."
I agree it would be another great addition for this allready great mod!

1. Longbow + halberd is a nice combo, not good against charge, but flexible in melee. I could live with that
2. Dual wield for Beornings seems perfect. However i think if it's decided that they are dual wield, then they should be dual wield in both upgraded and non upgraded form!!!
3. If u have dual wield animations, it would be nice to give some dual wield units to unfinished factions like Isengard, Eriador and Ruhn if some unit fits them
I am slightly obsessed with longbows
If Beornings dual wield, then I think it will be great, but Men at Arms shouldn't dual wield as well. I'm sure that Hasharii or some Dwarven unit could use some dual wielding too.
I just said 2handers because of the fact that Javelins and Battleaxes both on one unit would be spectacular.

I agree. It should be unique to very few units, and none from the same race.
Agreed. Dualwield units should be Hasharii, Beornings, a dualwielding orc unit would be cool as well.
Oh...
Got one in mind?
Moranon orcs? (normal ones) like two short swords or sword and axe.
No, Morannon Orcs should keep the spear and shield. Well, I think so anyway.
