Settlement Capture Bug
Playing as Cyrenaica, besieging Cydonia. Indie Greeks attack me, I win the battle, win the city. Click occupy. CTD.
Suggestions?

Re: Settlement Capture Bug
Have you tried something other than "occupy"? I haven't had a single CTD on my AAR and I'm pretty sure I've captured at least one city on the AI turn. The thing is, to date I haven't used anything other than the "exterminate" option.

Re: Settlement Capture Bug
It's pretty random, AFAIK. I hadn't got it in a long time, but it has come back with a vengeance in my Gallic campaign... Try letting some units escape and then assault it during your turn. Always works. There's no other way around it if it keeps recurring.

I'm not usually quick enough on the trigger to prevent somebody from escaping - sometimes a lack of skills IS handy!

Re: Settlement Capture Bug
Scutarii: I had it happen once in a recent campaign. A long while back someone mentioned that agents in the settlement might cause the problem. If you are getting it a lot you could try using assassins to clear out any agents before you lay siege. It would be interesting to know if that helps.

There's an idea; I'll try it out.

Re: Settlement Capture Bug
Ive got this bug as well for the first time in a very long time.
Could it be something to do with the update?
There is a mention of traits in that thread you linked to.
