i did try to transport my vicky campaign to hoi2 but the export save thing got corrupted or something :/ so wouldnt work

Usually exporting from EU3 to Vicky results in no one having any armies and rebellions happening everywhere. If that has been fixed (since May) then I will do that.

doesnt seem to work for lawrence. done everything its asked on the readme but everytime i try to load the converted file it pops up with something about not being able to locate the pops.cv file or something (basically the converter isnt converting populations or industries.. theres 2 tick boxes on the popup converter but it does not allow me to click on them)

not sure what the point is of changing installation directory either (if u read the readme u will understand), or the need for putting things in the system32 folder but hey.

edit: upon setting up the newer version (released a week ago) it appeared to work, only this time when i load up the save it doesnt recognise some owner 'SPA', or the culture spanish. :/

edit again: finally got it to work, soem rather inaccurate advice being given by the modders but i figured it out in the end doesnt seem too bad either - most of the world is covered by factions so..

I think you need to download the pops.csv file separately which is stupid. I had the same problem. I'll look for it later.

only problem in the save tho is that i have no armies, no navy, spain has 300 ships tho but no soldiers.. why was the conversion of troops so crap? :/

There was a point where I was going to try and do an AAR playing from 1066 through 1953 or whenever doomsday ends. Well, I played through and completely neglected the AAR bit. The progression went CK -> EUII -> Ricky -> Doomsday starting as the one province county of Suenik.

I played as England CK-->EU2, then switched to and played as the US from late EU2-->Ricky-->HoI2+DD+Arma. I've just finished this epic saga a few days ago

Did you have any problems with massive revolts when converting EU3 -> Vicky/Ricky?

Nope, there were no revolts in the old US of A Although since my England/Britain was still a (Absolute) Monarchy (I had the Royalists win the ECW in EU2), they found gargantuan problems in Eastern and Southern England later on in the game.

i converted a CK game to EU2 AGCEEP and that was fun.

Also converted a EU2 game to victoria, that was probably the best conversion i've played.

If you want to do the though you will need to edit the save game because the converters are terrible.

It sucks when you export from EU3 to Vicky. There aren't factories, so it takes about 20 years to get even one infantry division.

Think you need to have built manufactories in EU3 to receive factories.
