Better Install Instructions Needed

Okay, I'm having a heck of a time getting this mod loaded. I'm on Vista SP1 -- is that half the problem?

I think you may need a consolidated step-by-step set of instructions for dummies like me. I can see from the posts that there have been others with issues.

I have a clean BI 1.6.
I copied the BI folder that is INSIDE of RTW, pasted it and renamed it rio.

OKay, that is easy. Your next instruction says 'install'

Install what exactly? IBFD? BRG II, there is mentions of a mod switcher....what exact file do you install?


I tried installing Rios_VII installer. That didn't work. I redid everything and tried installing RIOS_IBFD_BRG_II -- that didn't work.

My shortcut is setup as it should be.

In either case, the FD intro screen loads, but then it appears to goto BI vanilla and there are no campaigns to choose and I get this error:

Rio'S IBFD BRG II

1- clean 1.6 bi. installation
2- Within the rtw folder copy the bi folder and change the copied bi folder to rio
3- Install Rio's IBFD BRG II MOD SWITCHER

Rio's IBFD BRG II MOD SWITCHER can copy over the latest mod and its patches

Vista SP1 can have x copying issues and a nightmare for playing games

Just one other note...make sure your if you must change the designated installation path, you must do the same your within the Rio launcher's properties.
