I've got 2 question on this lesson (although I'm finished with it^^):
1st: When I have several building chains (e.g. the pagan temples of Lithuania in the Teutonic Campaign), what do i need to type in the export_descr_buildings, so that when i build one of these, the other ones becom unavailable?
2nd: What do i need to do when I want to make a certain building, that is not in the building chain, constructable only when I got a certain building? (e.g. I need a market to construct a blacksmith)

Nevada:
1. Anything with a temple_ as part of the name should allow only one tree to be constructed. If you wanted to do it with other types then you just use and not building_present.

Made the first changes to just get the new building to show up and I'm getting a crash to desktop with this in my log file?

had the same splash screen CTD, it was due to a typo in my export_buildings.txt:
I forgot the suffixes for my newly added buidings:
i wrote
{building}
{building}
{building}
instead of
{building}
{building_desc}
{building_desc_short}
that was all after I corrected it it worked perfectly

Sinople your missing some brackets for the capabilities area. Hopefully that will do it
Y2day: i doubt those log entries have anything to do with your problem. Building errors seem to be notorious for not showing up. If your getting a CTD on the splash screen and your sure its not a code entry issue, i would save your entires, put back in the vanila EDB, and re enter them, and see if that works.
