Res Gestae v3.1 full install (Released)
Finally, a new version of the mod is here. Special thanks must go to Florin for his hard work on it and Bladerunner, who has fixed several model issues and allowed us to recover the great Macedonian Companion Cavalryman that you can see above.
Warning 1: This is a full install of the mod. So it is only intended for players that do not have version 3.0. People who have the mod already installed on their computer must only download and install the patch, that is featured in this thread:

Warning 2: There are two versions of the installer: the one made by Hip, which is fully automatized and the one made by me, which requires some modification of the game's shortcut after the install is finished.
FULL INSTALLER VERSION BY HIP63
1. Download the mod from:

2. Run the installer
3. Once it asks you the destination of the install, browse your computer to a non-modded RTW folder, with the game patched to the 1.5. version. The most usual destination is "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War" although you might have a different path.

2. Run the installer
3. Once it asks you the destination of the install, browse your computer to a non-modded RTW folder, with the game patched to the 1.5. version. The most usual destination is "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War" although you might have a different path.
4. The mod will create a RG subfolder in your RTW install and a shortcut to the mod in your desktop. After the install is finished, you must make a small change to the shortcut of the mod that will appear on your desktop. There are two files in your RG folder that explain what you must do. The files are in .doc and .pdf format and are named "shortcut modification-very important before playing"
Basically, the issue with the desktop shortcut is due to my lack of ability with installers. The fix, to summarize it, only requires to delete the words \RG in both the destination and the target of the shortcut.
Now, what is new in this version:
Added slave resource to descr_strat done by Florin
New climates and map textures by Uranos
Added more AOR units (cavalry and archers) to Sicily, Greece, North Africa and the East
Added full armies recruitment to: Gauls, Germans, Carthage, Macedon, Egypt and Seleucids
Fix pedites and equites extraordinarii recruitment
Fix incorrect paths and add missing textures for Roman Samnites, Messagetae Lancers and Pontic chariots
Minor fixes to Night Raiders, Mori Gaesum and Parthian Cataphracts
Added new Companion Cavalry by Bladerunner and new Spartan Hoplite by Caius Britannicus.
Expanded family trees in order to avoid faction extinction
Changed Brutii to Valerii (names)
Help for the Brutii (Valerii) when AI controlled
Reduced Spain and increase Carthage in Spain when AI controlled
Toned down Pontus, Egypt and Sparta
Toned up Seleucids and Macedon

I have corrected the issue in a new installer but I am currently way from any high-speed internet access ATM so it may be a little while before I can get the new installer uploaded.
