Step 1
Find take a picture and make it to sig size and mayby make some effects:

Then make your text, i used the romans caps font(colour=ffcc00) and made these effects if interested

Here's the result
Step 3
1.Make a new layer name it light, place it ONE STEP OVER THE TEXT LAYER and choose the gradient tool.
2.Check the transparency box:
(The gradient i dragged here is NOT a part of this step)
Step 4
1.Make sure you have linear gradient selected
2.Press the gradient box in the corner
After pressing the gradient "box" choose this gradient type:
Step 5
Make a selection like this:
and drag the gradient like the one in step 3 on the new layer and you will get this:
Alternative you could change layer mode on the layer ''light'' , on this picture i used overlay. Now press Ctrl+Shift+G.
Step 6 for Photoshop CS3 and above version
Open the animation window:
On the first frame drag the layer with the light over the text so it barely can't be seen on the first frame. Also, set the delay time as you want it, i think 0.1 second is the best.
Then duplicate the frame
And on the next frame drag the layer from one end to another so it barely can't be seen.
Then click on the first frame and click on the tween button:
use these or simlilar settings:
Then saving time, press the save for web and device option:
Now a window should pop up:
1. Make sure it is set to save as a gif
2. Save.
Step 6 for Photoshop CS 2 and lower Version

After step 5, click ''file > edit in image ready'' or ''shift + CTRL + m''.
In imageready open the animation window:

EDIT: This works even better without an background image as you wont get reduced quality on the gif then

what u mean could u explain with a pic i can't make this great effect any help would be great
