not that you guys are going to do this but is there away for others, when you release your mod, to some how make an area's homeland expand after a set amount of occupation? i like the system you have but it would seem that after say 50-100 years of occuping an area that your subjects would be assmilated and be naturlized. i'm refering to elite units aor growing. with 120 regions, only having like 5 recruiting elite units in late game could suck. although i agree with you trying to make empire building harder by simulating internal, cultural, strife in conquered regions. just wondering if there's a way to make a set amount of years to make new government possible (of course if culture and other requirements are met). keep of awesome work.
    can't wait for LAST KINGDOM

I don't recall for sure, but I think this is kind of how the system is, as you gain more culture % you can change to more and more Gov't types until you can build Homeland Gov'ts.

I have to double check though

do you realy build these buildings in the towns, so that one can see them, when attacking/defending a city? - I think it would be work, but it would be really cool!

one annotation: in those times walls weren't often stonewalls - perhaps you could make different stages of earth-walls and palisades and only for the last developing of a city a small stone wall...

Maybe this can help a little bit, if you choose to create the buildings for the battlemap:

in the spoiler of the post of thedudederek the building-spoiler: they managed to change buildings in rome TW. could be similar in MII TW:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=295359

and I think the moders of Third age TW are on a good way to change buildings on a city-battle-map.

It's not fundamental for the ultimate feeling, but in those times there were more wooden houses and townwalls than in MII TW where there's evrything from stone in the bigger towns and cities.
Perhaps you find a way to implement the buildings like in your prewiews.

There are no castles? Only cities? Or is there something wrong on my side?
