Ah, that's because I used the new LZMA compression method in 7-zip to save space. My apologies. I didn't know it would create problems with other programs. I'll upload a version compressed with the regular Deflate method.

EDIT: I just tested the new .zip file with the default windows unzipper and it works fine.

I was actually using winrar which I have never had that problem with. I will look as soon as I can.

Ok music I will be damned if I can find this. I am starting to think you accidentally put an extra space or other character in a line by bumping the keyboard/mouse someplace. I will take another look at the files tomorrow but it might be faster to for you to redo the faction files.

I've re-started this lesson from my backup.

In the descr_banners_new.xml file, did anyone encounter Notepad++ replacing "England" with your faction name 36 times instead of 14 when using the Replace All button? This happens to me even when I have match whole word only and match case checked. I had to replace each instance manually 14 times using the Replace button in order for it to work right.

EDIT: In my export_descr_ancillaries file I only have 3 instances of England as part of another word instead of 5.

EDIT 2: In my export_descr_strat file I have 33 tokens instead of 32 (match whole word and match case checked).

EDIT 3: In my descr_win_conditions file I have 3 tokens of england instead of 1.

EDIT 4: You didn't say anything about the menu_english.txt file after the part about "open in Notepad++". I had 4 instances of england in different cases.

I would like to have everyone finished with the entire class by Jan 1 or so, but I realize with holidays and stuff like that it might not happen. When Jan 1 gets here I will take a look and see where everyone is at. If someone is still working but struggling I will give a bit of extra time, but I dont want to get too far into Jan.
