I got the name "Mune' first from the game Chrono Trigger for SNES. There were these two beasties who were a sort of main boss named Masa (who claimed to be strong) and Mune (who claimed to be intelligent). They fused together to form Masamune, which was a bigger beastie which turned into a sword once defeated.

Now later I fiound out a bit more about the story behind the name. Masamune is a Warlord from Japanese history, but in CT (and many other Square games) Masamune was a powerful sword. Mune is also a latin word from which our English word 'Immune' derives (which is the negative of it). It also may mean something naughty or funny in Japanese or Chinese, as I've gotten some odd comments before from people online.

    Your callsign should be "Mi!".

Just kidding. My name is quite obvious, I think. Alexios Komnenos was a Byzantine emperor which I used to consider one of the greatest. Actually he is not, but I like him and his name is rather cool.

And no, I'm not Greek, nor Orthodox. Some asked me for it, and people use to asume that if I carry the name of a Byzantine character, I must be Greek. Which is no true.

    Take care!

I took on the name after conquering The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Morrowind was better in my opinion.

Inhuman One was first used as my login name for Neverwinter Nights.

Its a reminder to everyone that the character on screen is not a real person, so he/she/it cant feel actual pain, sorrow, remorse, fear, love or anything like that. Its something people often forget considering games, but never worry about in movies even while there are actual people doing those things instead of pixels.

My second favorite stage in SSBB is Flatzone 2. I was playing it with some buddies and the idea just came to make that my account name.

My actual familyname (Dutch) means multiple small stones, Even though I am very proud of the name , it is hardly suitable in these kind of forums. So I took two english words for "steen", namely stone and rock. I could have used pebbles (which would fit the litteral translation quite nicely) but hardly much glory there.

So eiter Stonerock (which would make me sound like a musicband) or Rockstone .
    Regards! Rockstone (Nico Steentjes).

btw. I'm hoping to hell there isn't a musicband called Stonerock. Sorry in advance .

Edit: Bloody hell. I googled: there is a company called Stonerock and it actually deals is fitnessmusic - my luck! Sorry again.

A duellist is someone who is always looking for a fight, for fun or profit. During the renaissance and beyond, when duels of honor were common, a noble who wished to dispose of a rival would sometimes hire a professional duellist to insult the intended victim and thus force a duel.

As first an actor/combatant and then a theatrical fight choreographer (albeit as an avocation rather than a profession), I've also spent more than 15 years always looking for a fight. Seemed appropriate.

I first encountered the term almost 40 years ago in high school. In Romeo and Juliet, Act II scene iv, Mercutio describes Tybalt:

He fights as you sing prick-song, keeps time, distance, and
proportion; rests me his minim rest, one, two, and the third in your
bosom: the very butcher of a silk button, a duellist, a duellist

    Well found NJ

I like the quote by V.V. Rozanov - and I like the sound of the name to - doesn't ahve nay gaming connotations AFAIK.
From what I've read the real V.V. Rozanov wrote a lot of stuff I really wouldn't want to be associated with.
For added complexity I can add an "a" at the end of it, a sort of homage to record I enjoyed listening to 30 years ago.

Hardrada comes from Harald Hardrada, the last viking king. He was a total badass viking who traveled the world and was sort of "learn-ed." He did alot of ass kicking until being defeated in 1066 by the English led by Harold Godwinson, before Godwinson was defeated by Willy the Conqueror.
The numbers are random numbers i have always used at the end of various e-mail accounts.
I used them because i assumed someone had already picked Hardrada, but i think i was wrong and i wish i could change my name without making a new account

Apart from being my initials ( I have no imagination ), morlam is also some kind of Thai country music. So perhaps you're not that unlucky after all.

When I was a medical student about a century ago I had this patient called Caralampio. An old chap, all due respect to his memory. That name may not mean much to you but it is kind of funny in Spanish. I liked it so much that I use it very frequently as my pseudonym in forums, games, etc.

Caralampio is Roman, a name rarely used in Spanish-speaking countries these days, like Pantaleón (another of my favorite pseudonyms), Hermenegildo and other long, polisyllabic names. If at all you might find them way deep in rural areas... If you get my drift.
