Thread: Sonic Unleashed - Night of the Werehog.

Default Sonic Unleashed - Night of the Werehog.

Well, the new game, Sonic Unleashed, has a short 11 minute film, done a la Pixar style. Have a go at it, I thought it was funny.

The game is terrible. No, I'm sorry, half the game is terrible. The old school Sonic levels are quite fun and really well done. The Werehog thing... didn't work. The gameplay is terrible. Terrible. Borderline unplayable. If you are willing to suffer through, there are some great Sonic levels in their though.

Really, this is one of those weird times where you wish they cut half the game off. The Sonic levels are an 8, easily. If not higher. The Werehog levels can't be above 4 (I mean, they do work... mostly). I guess that makes the game a 6.

    The video isn't bad though.

Whatever happened to Sonic and one of his friends go to Evergreen Hills and jump on baddies and stuff? No evil alter egos, no party troupe, no robots, no weird , just plain old Sonic. Make it work.

No robots? Pretty much every baddie you faced was a robot in the original Sonic.

I miss the days when I was 4, and played Sonic 2 multiplayer endlessly. Ah, the times of getting stuck at one point in Mystic Caves for an entire minute, or getting to the end of Casino Night only to find you'd just switched screens and handed over victory. [Well, my young gaming record consisted of that and Road Rash, yes, the latter wasn't exactly appropriate for 4 year olds, whacking people off bikes with chains]

It'd just be so much better if they just did an old style Sonic. He hasn't really translated to 3D at all (apart from maybe the Dreamcast Games).

Its a shame to see Sonic's reputation take a slide down, hes sort of a B character now, sort of like a B actor.

He used to be Mario's rival, but now mario is making far better games, despite the annoying voice they gave him. Also not real mario games, but mario kart and brawl are amusing.
