    Icon7 Condottiere SOG Battle AI.........

    If you like giving your generals control of the battle. This one will be hard to beat. I have won many battles but lost 20% of them due to the good generalship of the enemy. The battles develop in a natural fashion. One good turn deserves another. Generals hold reserves and send units into different areas to outflank the enemy. The enemy learns from the battles and counters your move strategically and tactically. In one battle you might face an enemy army that has been successful against other factions, but after a while the enemy has one that can match your own and hand you your hat. Includes fix for pikemen and other unit strike distances. I have about got the sieges thing worked out. The enemy defends itself. Sieges are long.

    I will be updating this in less than a week.

    Note; I use this on VeryHard/Medium so use this in battle mode in higher ratings(/Hard or /VeryHard) at your own risk. This mod is conformed to any mod using the 'real' world format. Variations for fantasy or other mods can be made by request.

    yes

    I will release a comprehensive AI in the next week. The total amount of files will be mainly for TLR. This will include many data files. I will also completely modify EDU's and EDB's for mods to reflect unit balance and continuity. Otherwise I do very much like PointBlank's work although it is not universal.

    Hey, looking forward to try your new AI in Stainless Steel, but I suspect that the descr_skeleton file provided with the AI mod, may conflict with the descr_skeleton in Stainless Steel! :hmmm:

    Is it possible to use the AI mod without the mentioned file?

    yes it is. it is an optional file in the mix and if the SS crew has modified pikes, then the AI will only amplify that modification.

    a while back, during a siege I actually saw a couple of rams making their way to the enemy walls on their own after I set my side to AI control. I am going to find that Nirvana again and then my work will be complete.

    Note that the section:

    <missile-target-accuracy>
    <archers>0.40</archers>
    <crossbowmen>0.50</crossbowmen>
    <handgunners>0.105</handgunners>
    <arquebusiers>0.205</arquebusiers>
    <musketeers>0.305</musketeers>
    <mounted-archers>0.35</mounted-archers>
    <mounted-crossbowmen>0.45</mounted-crossbowmen>
    <reiters>0.125</reiters>
    <elephants>0.275</elephants>
    <artillery>0.25</artillery>
    </missile-target-accuracy>

    specifies the accuracy when shooting at that unit type, not from those units. In your file here you have Arquebusiers being twice as hard to hit as archers etc, and handgunners being 4x as hard to hit.

    Fixed! It would be the same for the melee right. though i hadn't noticed.
