Well that could be a theme for the current competition, but I don't think it needs it's own competition.

Maybe it's just me, but don't you guys think that the GC submissions should be anonymous (perhaps PM'd to Giovi, or whoever is organizing the contest), in order to prevent bias? After the voting is done, the authors will be revealed.
Now, I know this is just a minor amateur competition, but I've noticed that some people are annoyed by the fact that the winners are pretty much the same, all the time.
I do agree that winners are generally the same, but that is because there are only 6 or so people who enter the contests everytime, and they are the same people.
There has to be a poll one way or another, no way to prevent users from seeing who the submission is from. Unless you also mean that votes should also be sent to Giovi, but that would be not very practical and overwhelm him with tons of PMs.
Only way to solve this "same winner" issue if there were 20+ people who enter the competitions and if they do not participate regularly.
Nah, the idea was just for the organizer to collect the contest entries, and the list them in a thread, just like they do now, only that the author names would not be displayed. And yeah, there's no way to stop someone from posting the work in their personal workshop, but I believe there is common sense around here. They can do it after the vote is done![]()
Well.. the reason why the same people keep winning isn't because their name is showing but because they spend some time on their work and don't slap something together in 10 minutes.
But I do like the idea, would stop the crying.

Well it's a good idea! I mean i spent 1,5 hour and 100 layers on my current sig and it got one vote
Only because my name is Infamous
Well seriously though like the idea, instead of the names it could be 1,2,3,5,8![]()
Nahh I don't think you should really bother about something like this. As far as I can see in almost every instance it's just the best pic who wins. And it feels a bit more personal if you just vote for names instead then numbers. (well in my case)![]()

I agree with lolgast, we should leave it the way it is.
Yes, you will never know the taste unless you have tasted it![]()
This number thing is already done in POTW and UESW and i think it's good. Also i think the naming is good. I don't vote cause a great artist is a great artist (and there are many great artists here), i vote the submission i like most. If i like more the work submitted by an unknown member, i vote for it. The naming is helping me only to see what a artist did in past submissions and what he improved in the current one, if he changed his style, how he improved his style.
In the end, i really don't think that naming or numbering will have so much importance, but the nature of man is well known: we always like something new, probably just to get out of monotony. So, i really don't mind, whatever decision you will made. I just like the spirit of creativity, of competition.![]()

What about an Resources section? I have nowhere to post my own made renders and stuff![]()
Yes like brushes, renders, patterns, ofc made by twc members![]()
You can create a [Resource] thread in the Tutorials section like Marcel did here to post your textures, renders, and any other stuff that would be useful to others.
y
Well, because you posted about it here I made one myself.![]()

we currently have 4-5 recourse threads, which isn't a lot to make a new sub forum for.
i think a renaming of the tutorial section would be more appropriate, and we could use those [Tutorial] and [Resource] 'tags'(or whatever there called) like in the mod workshops.
