I am just trying out an idea I have had using this great mod.
The Mod as we know has a fantastic campaign.
My Idea has centred around having a "local Campaign"
The idea works like this.
Take an English County (I use Norfolk my own home County)
Then list the larger towns within that county including the County Town. Using imagination or looking up the historical facts work out which town is for the King and which for country.
Form up using Custom armies a force for each town to the max points available.
Select your side and work out which of the oppositions town you wish to take.
Fight the army from that town as a Custom battle using an army from one of your towns. (weather is randomly decieded). The casualties sustained by each side (Found out on the after battle report) are convereted to a percentage and that is removed from that saved armies list of units. The winning army can recruit in the captured town (use a dice to work out how many units). The defeated army retreats to a friendly town of it's choosing. Combining forces if an army is already there and numbers allow or remaining an independent force.
If an attacked army is 50% weaker than the attacking force then the defender can elect to withdraw to the town and a siege/assault can be fought.
The object is to hold the county town and reduce the enemy forces until they pose no threat.
This needs refining but seems to be giving very good results so far.
