    yeah, who won the battle?

    anyhow, i think you experience Carthago as stronger because now their capital (normally) remains Carthago itself, so al their troops will be in north africa and sicily

    yes the hell of sicily i call it lol. invaded sicily with 2 legions lol took syracuse and now my legions get attackt by 3 chartaginian armies whit war elephants. hehehe this is just great.

    Yes the addon features are alot of fun, there were all kinds of little things I tweaked not mentioned in the readme. So I hope Parthia is staying were they are suppose to with the aggressive factions there is always a chance they might break out. lol

    Well actually in my current game the carthagians switched their capital to Carthago Novo, so its even more suprising...

    Actually they changed it same with Egypt (now jerusalem) and macedonia (to asia minor). I guess there could be a few other...

    I hate to come up with that topic again but why does the civil war start even if you don't do anything to trigger it?...i was not even near rome but the "civil war starts" message popped up twice...the senate still seems to be my ally but for how long?...will there be some point they just come out of rome and start to takeover italy when my empire has reached a certain level?...it's somehow confusing

    Damn, i really love the new version. The carthagians kick my ass in sicily, it's really tough to beat their experienced armies ( they have 3 full stacks at the moment ) with my unexperienced troops.
    Btw, how do they get their troops so experienced? I mean they cannot recruit them experienced as they are ( silver chevrons )...

    - civil war will start if you move an armie in to latium.
    - when the senate asks your faction leader to do suicide and you refuse. (thy won' t attack but your alliance will be broken)
    - you don' t need to worry about the messages senate won' t attack you

    Since the carthagians on sicily now use 3 units elephants in their armies i decided to replace the slingers by 2 extra units velites. I nearly lost my last battle....
    Taking Sicily will be very bloody i assume....

    hmm i noticed sicily is going to be a hard nut to crack. i took syracuse and a turn lather carthage came with 3 armies lol i think thy shipt the from africa. let the fight and fun begin.

    No that 3 full stacks were already on the island as i invaded it.
    Guess you will have the same fun as i have they have 3 elephant units in each army...

    hmmm i had one armie with 1 unit of elephants the other armie had 2 units and the third had non.

    yeah my first punic war has begun.

    invaded sicily with 2 legions, building up a third one now at taras.

    Each army of them had 3 units ( 2 armoured, 1 normal ), ecept the last remaining one seems to have "only" 2 units.

    They do, When a faction actually OWNS the land they are more agressive. as for elephants it depends on the AI some get good luck others just bad. lol

    Hello LT,

    It's refreshing to try SPQR.
    I have checked these new generals as skirmish cav.
    Indeed they behave better, but is it possible to modify model of bodyguards and atrributes to keep skirmish feature but come back to previous look of heavy cav?

    i actually enjoy this new mode for the generals. if you press the alt key you will set the unit to its secondary weapon so thy will charge the units you selected.
