if you installed it correctly [ie into your main med2 directory] check your main med2 folder and and look for something called "for_king_or_country" Windows Batch File and thats it.

oh and please don't post about the "windowed mode" issue [actually posting is acceptable just don't make a new thread about it]. There are numerous threads on the 1st page explaining the issue and I will be forced to hunt you down and kill you if you do[you'll know why when you find them]

just have to say what an excellent mod this is!!... got it working.. just unzipped the file & pasted the contents into the data folder.... but i still got no exe file?... so i just double clicked the "for_king_or_country" Batch file to get it working.. if that makes sence... seemed to be ok..

played it all last week... ) was great!! although playing as the royalists i got King Charlie killed a few times ... lol... brilliant mod!!.. would love to see a wider European mod for this era... many thanks for all your amazing work!... ))

Is there a work around I can use (i'm on my Mac using crossover with M2TW and a kingdoms) to get this to work? Of course, the shortcut wont work on my mac, but is there a way to replace files so this mod will work?
    Thanks!

The first one works you just have to wait a while. It made me wait 126 seconds or something like that. Also, you can get it from Moddl.

Of course I can't get it to work on my mac so.....yeah....

    Good luck!

I am having a bit of a campaign problem with capturing enemy castles. They sooner or later go rebel. There seems to be nothing one can do to convert the population of the castles over to your faction, unlike with normal settlements. At times the population was so low after a siege, I could only kill 2 citizens after retaking the castle but the population remained against me and the castles eventually went rebel within a few turns and produced about a thousand local clubmen! In the most recent rebellion in Nottingham, 700 clubmen were produced and when defeated I had no option to exterminate the populace because there were not enough left to exterminate. In fact "sack and burn" would only kill 0 people and gain 0 pounds from looting. The place was already completely devastated. But these empty and ruined castles continue to go through cycles of civil revolt.

I understand clubmen within a region would not just go away after you demolished a castle. Nevertheless, is there anything one can do to pacify them? Has anybody found a way to pacify the population after taking their castle?

It'll be amazing when they make the map modification tools for Empire-Napoleon (they already made the unit-input-thingy tool, it got released just the toher day) because then we can bring this mod to life with the new and improved Empire Graphics! Which, in my opinion, would be better suited for this mod.... Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I just feel its not as.....it just needs a bit more of that certain pinache! But, this mod was made in '08, back when MTW2 still reigned.

    STILL!

If all goes well, GET THIS MOD INTO EMPIRE/NAPOLEON!!!!!

So I can murder the Godless traitor Roundheads with pro graphics ^_^
