I think Rohan, Dale and Eriador will have same building icons in the first release since their population and culture were very similar.

I hope so, but perhaps not for v1.0.
Anyway, I noticed that the difference between the level 4 and level 5 elven tavern is pretty subtle, perhaps you could add a second floor?
That's about the only flaw I can find.

I would disagree, I think Gondor, Dale and Eriador would be closely the same but Rohan would be different If we are to keep with the film. Been collecting a lot of Viking and celtic reference material for Rohan, so will be one of the races I will be dealing with later as well as Harad and the Dwarves

Yeah, I also have the LOTR DVD trilogy plus extras which i have been going through with DVD Shrink to check out angles. It was never in doubt i would try Rohan I even wanted to do them before Gondor but Kong reconed Gondor was more important to the Game.

Umm, actually Bardians, Bree-landers and Rohirrim were pretty much equal since they all were Northmen and their cultures were similar. Only difference was that Dale and Eriador were based quite much on trade when Rohirrim were based on horses. If there must be some difference then Bree-landers and and Bardians used slightly more stone in their buildings than Rohirrim.

Trust me, Eriador and Dale weren't similar to Gondor, even Bree wasn't because most of its population had always been Middle Men when population of cities such as Annúminas, Fornost Erain and Tyrn Gorthad had been Dúnedain.

If you want to make different building icons for all of them, be my guest but I think that only important differences are to give more buildings based on horses for Rohan and more buildings based on trade and maybe to wine gardens to Dale and Eriador.

Bree-landers were not Northmen, they are descended from dunlandings.

They weren't descendants of Dunlendings. they were related to them same way as all other Middle Men and Dunlendings weren't counted as Middle Men since they turned to evil and had lived centuries in dark forests of Enedwaith during Second Age and Third Age. But yeah, they weren't Northmen but their culrure and population was very similar since Northmen of Rhovanion were also Middle Men.

    i second this

Christmas will be quite grand this year i think

love your work Rogu! great job!

question tho: will there be diff elf building icon/skins for the two elf factions or will these be used as the generic elf icons/skins?

(since icons typically represent the in-game skins, thats why i am questioning the skins as well)
