LOL, It's not that at all, it's just that you are criticising them for being to cartoon like and I can see where you are coming from but will they enhance your playing experience of playing this MOD or will as I stated before, it be better to just leave the vanilla ones and not try and enhance the icons at all. I think when met with this argument that you will have to agree that even though the Orc and some other Buildings are not to your liking, they are a lot better included in the MOD than without. Also maybe you could give me some examples.

Couldnt upload it to image here :S
As you may see im not so good at making icons examples.I know that this is not BFME but EA games has people who works with LOTR buildings and therefore I think you should atleast take a look at them. I cant find any pictures on the internet on them though :S
Myself I think you should take total war icons a step further, and instead of having a picture of a single building I think you should have a picture on many buildings.

Once again i am speechless!!!! This is going to be the mod of "THE FOURTH AGE"!!!
I like the majority of these icons, but some of the mordor ones are... well... they just look really out-of-place. The worst one for me is the trade building once that wierd symbol is put on the wall; that belongs in something like warhammer, not LOTR.
The Elven and Gondorian ones are GREAT, though!
The Elven buildings are amazing. The others are great in craftsmanship too but I dislike the other two factions, so only the Elves get any appreciation.
I can't wait to see the Dwarven and Rohirrim buildings.
Hello all, this is my first post here.
Just wondering if there are any plans for actual custom buildings on the battlemap (I know it's addressed in the FAQ that there won't be any for the first release, but is it being planned?)
I have done some custom buildings for Rome Total War using 3ds max and CAS exporter, not sure if the same can be done in m2tw and can't find a tutorial anywhere.
This guy has been working on custom battlemaps for quite sometime but I think you got to be quite knowledgeable in scripting to give it a try.

Welcome to the forums
They all look a far too cartoon like in my opinion, they would look better if they were designed to be more realistic and with better proportions, Gondor archery range is a prime example.
The Watchwords Of Midnight
"The brave and the free fear no foe, go forth, mighty hosts of Midnight! Unto death or victory we go!"
The Midnight Chronicles
What do they want for nothing
That looks great, although I think all he did was modifying the collision/pathfinding of the models without actually changing or retexturing the models themselves. Can the M2TW building models be unpacked and modified the same way as in RTW?
PS. Those custom siege rams look funky, could be awesome to have in this mod (Grond ram?)
Awesome work!
The pics look kinda 3d though. Are they gonna be on the battlefield as well?
