    some events will be scripted regarding theological events, climatical changings as well as plagues.

    Yes, the Nika riots (or riots in general e.g. Antiochia) are an interesting issue.
    Empio has made a unit model of "the Blues" (Venetoi) of the Demoi (Circus faction). A medium equipped infantry with experiences concerning the defence of the city walls and police duties.

    The "event" of the Nika riots throw out your troops of Constantinople, a stack of Venetoi is deployed automatically inside the city and you have to start a siege - and therefore you have to fight inside the city against those Blues. It gives a feeling of a civil war which needs a good proportian of own troops.
    It's just a first idea and possible to implement it concerning the script. But I'm open for all other suggestions.

    Sounds good I have checked the mentioned units they are beautifull...One more reason to waiting for your project.

    we have a lack of modellers concerning the units - since our unit-maker morfeasnikos has some private issues. He is still available, but he can't say when he is online again. However, all other items are far developed (campaign, customized settlements, building models etc).

    actually empio is still modeller - but since he is offline since several weeks we were forced to look for another unit-maker. We were able to recruit another talented member for our team - with an high degree of knowlegde concerning the arms and equipment of the 6th century.
    And as shown in the Teaser about the Sasanians (see Savaran unit) he is at least so good as empio. Also the textures are matching 100% the quality of empio.
    It would be perfect if empio is coming back in the future, however, we can't force anybody. that's life - that' modding.

    Has the team found a texture bod for the buildings yet ?
    I'm no expert, but I am having a go at changing wall textures and building textures in the default version of BI with some success.
    I don't know if building textures are still a problem for the AOD2 team, if so, maybe you would like me to try to assist you in some way.

    Am I to understand that you need no assistance with UV maps then ?
    I was actually referring to your request for modders on the modders classified adds.

    we have indeed some models left (minor stuff e.g. some roman columns etc - even new 3D buildings) which need a proper UV-mapping. Can you handle the UV-mapping?

    Its funny that the idea is brought up here because I have just integrated such a script into EoR.

    I have just started to explore UV mapping.
    I have managed to change some default textures on buildings.
    I am prepared to have a go, I'm not promising much, but it can not hurt you or the mod if I try.

    I will leave it to you.
