Cymera: It sounds like Redfox has been working on all sorts of interesting things. For the time being I will stick to changes that are saved-game compatible. I'll probably hold off on the others until a major new feature (like religions/governments) is ready.
DBH, new units and the like are save-game compatible, redfox has been working on a set of interesting things on that side too and you might want to check out...
I'm quite fond especially of the idea of going a step towards EB roster for GCS, that would set them apart from other Hellenistic states better imho...
Zarax: I'm afraid the cavalry trick wont work as it is hardcoded to show the units " "unitclass" Cavalry". Other than that, it worked, except for some minor setbacks caused by animations.
Only way to solve this would be to remove light cavalry class and only use the medium/heavy. Light Cavalry entry would then be changed to light infantry.
Zarax: They seem very well balanced, maybe even more if I lower some of the stats.
Although, I could raise the lethality of the secondary weapon, that's if there's a preference of some sort of weapons against missile units.
That would make them for example cut the missile units down with swords and then use spears against infantry.
Not sure about anything here, guess I just have to try this one out later.
Now about terrain, i've started tweaking the terrain of greece, as right now it ridiculously looks like a god damn desert, indeed some of the coastal areas are quite desertey, but the inland is as green as it can get, I maybe have to create a new "greece" climate with inland changed to that of what Macedonia has and coast left as it is. Any ideas?
Sorry these took so long, but I'm done with Greek Rebels and Seleucid Rebels any units not pictured are either unchanged (Spartans, sacred bands, etc) or done and I'm just too lazy to show peasants and other basic units.
I'll start on the Carth Rebels next, I cant think of a way to recolor the Ptolemy rebels without turning them into a sea of brown.
Acctually the Independent GCS are kinda brown now...
DimeBagHo: Yes, I took the dacia stuff from Alexander and put it into XGM, senate is theoretically restored (haven't really had the time to test it, but the factions are in place).
