I have alredy written it manytimes!

"That was only B. Cornwell’s inspiration, honestly nothing to do with the mode. If I’m getting tired of my work after 4-5 month, and I’m dream how nice would be to make crusaders knights, than I get one book from B. Cornwell to get some energy to continue the work. ... "

Yeah they are fantastic books especially The Last Kingdom. However, I found the most currently published book to be lacking in story development that he did so effortlessly in the other books. Have you guys read the Warlord Trilogy or the Grail Quest series?

I've read all three of those series and thought the Saxon Stories have been the best among the three.

I haven't read his Sharpe books, and don't know that I will. I am eargerly awaiting Azincourt to come out in the USSA.

I know it may be out of place to talk about comics when you`re talking about proper literature, but have you read the comic "Vinland Saga"? It`s pretty good, even though I`m not a fan of manga.

I've read the Warlord chronicles...Horribly depressing, but quite good.

Sadly they are depressing at times, but they are very well written. I love the titles especially the first book The Winter King. For some reason I love that title.

Yeah, very symbolic and emotionally moving.

So have you read his 'Stonehenge'? I'm about 3/4 of the way through it at the moment.

Also, do you guys think I should pick up the Grail Quest series?

Stonehenge is not my cup of tea, but it was a decent read. Definatley pick up the Grail Quest series, they are a phenominal read especially the first and last books (as always the second is ehhhh but still interesting.)

I wasn't deeply impressed by the Grail Quest series on my first read but enjoyed it better the second time around. The Saxon Chronicles are phenomenal and I absolutely loved the Warlord series. Extremely moving, I found myself attached to the characters more than any other book I've read in a very long time. I'm definitely looking forward to Azincourt. It looks like this one is really going to be gritty.

Reading 'The Last Kingdom' at the moment, as I'm studying Anglo-Saxon England at uni! I loved 'The Warlord Chronicles', great reworking of the Arthur legend!

Yeah! Totally. Though, that bastard Merthig (I think? Gwent's king, anyway) really pissed me off. Worst villain ever, even though he wasn't technically evil!
