My first work to post to TWC

I actually have won several local and state writing competition, and my home town has one of my poems enshrined in their museum

Jessime
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The morning light blazed through the blinds
Enlighting her bonny hair until it shined

I stared groggily at what I did not expect
A beautiful girl, with hands around my neck

My head swimming with ill fantasies
Remnants from our frothing barley brew

In that candescent dawn I found not my fanny
I have dreamt and wrote so often about

I found instead the sweet girl Jessime
An angel; that I have no doubt

As we laid throughout the day
I forget all the mistakes once made

Even when other things needed done
I would do it again, and have more fun

I'll finish tomorrow
and hide my sorrow
for my procrastination

Self motivation;
Such a hard occupation
Fighting unproductive delay

I know I am able, but may
I, in my defense, say
Procrastinator unite on the morrow

Call to Arms
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Call to arms
Defend with pride
My dear country

I eagerly enlist
Rigorously I train
They happily ship

Over there
Here a war
A battle yet again

My country's honor
I must protect
Raise the banner high

Into the battle
I carry my blade
Ready to strike

Like a rich man's chattel
Where there is no shade
Helos hover like the shrike

Hornets slap the dune
My fort, I dig
Deep in the self filling sand

My helmet stifles
The rifle exposed,
Ablaze my hand

What a war
What a place
Here; Over there

Another move
Another hole
Dig in, ready? No

One more bomb
A man left dead
His body in shreds

No sleep tonight
The stars too bright
To fray my fright

Time to march
The daily routine
The endless desert

Shock waves rip through
Our ranks; make due
Bury them in the sand

To serve and protect
To fight and die
While media prattles

This time it was me
I had no chance to see
Only hearing a rifle's rattle

My body fell limp
The sand my shroud
A shallow grave

Send word to my mother
I died in another
War my country waged

My heart belongs to Fanny

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

If there was a fairer lass I had seen,
She could not compare to my daft Fanny;
My other half, completed, she has been,
Her gift for arousal is uncanny!

Always one for cheerful smiles, with glee
She bore afree mind, for which used oft
On me to bring pleasure eternity
Her cries louder than the full choir loft

Alas comes end to our fun, she onto
Another must she run, her job is done
She is my joy fulfilled with adieu
With grace she will succeed in the long run,

To haunt my every sparked fantasy!
Her loins are my cage; I have lost the key!
