Having a few problems with running RotN in Imperial mode,rather than provisional mode. Well it runs fine but some errors with quick battles, florin80 is kindly helping me out. an error message

i see you both are diging deep in the files. it seems that there are some path issues... well. i dunno. i am making units. i've updated roman preview (part I) and Units Thread with Lucanii infantry

I have custom battles working, at least the scenics are now in full play, just got to get the error message fixed and we should be good to go haer.

I have a question about AI.
In DarthMod every factions has own formations-different AI behaviour.
And what about RotN?

yeah. -show_err (show error) script saved our butts more than hundred times (specially mine). too bad that TW series are going in non-modable games direction
i wonder what's the reason, but that's for offtopic i guess.
AI in RotN is using 3 monstrous superpowers to crush and humiliate the player.
1. ALX.EXE AI - best battle AI for RTW games. always finds a way to bite you somehow. newer throws away lives of it's troops and retreats/regroups when smells the stench of defeat. with RotN formations by mags gives a really panzer-nut to crack.
2. Darth's Formations - we wondered which ones will suit RotN best and it seems that we always liked Darth Modsand his extremely good formations. their use (and the dark side in them) allowed us to gain some quick fixes on the battlefield and really pushed AI foward. beware.
3. biggest monster - Mags Formations. RotN formations have been re-worked (still are to get the perfect and polished razorsharp edges) and now you will see syntagmas and maniples instead of rectangles of men or overstretched phalanxes. thickness of formations appeared to be decisive for AI and player as well, so drawing a huge, overstretched line with your troops will result in breaking it very quick. AI is catching occasions more often. and i am very happy to say that hellenic armies are real killers, and have their historical strength and weaknesses

Hi Salvo, The old show_err is a great help. I would like to say That RotN and the MM map is now fixed and working fully with ALEX and the Imperial campaign, Quick Battles and Custom battles are also working, Error messages have ceased

I would like to take this opportunity to THANK florin80 for his great work and help in getting RotN to this great stage.
The great thing is now having the Provo campaign released as well for future mini-campaigns. And the MM map can now be fully used with ALEX. Some changes are needed to the old MAP scripts but its worth it.
Salvo, I am having fun with the formations ai.
Darth very kindly gave me permission to use and experiment with his files, I am using a mixture of vanilla formations reworked, Darth formations reworked and Mags formations which I am designing for RotN.
At the moment I am working on the Phalanx armies of Macedon,Seleucid's and Greek Cities.

Night battles, Peanut and Salvo,Never liked them in the past, I hated the big flaming torches carried by the men with all their weapons and shields and trying to fight.
I would like some lights in the towns and cities.
On the open battlefield, Moonlight and the sky afterglow of the stars, Maybe some lights fixed to artillery units.
Bad weatherThat will take great nerve and a load of luck.
