Not so far, maybe in a new version. Right now it points to the Medieval II folder by default.

First of all thank you for this wonderfull tool, it works like a charm. I have a question, since i changed the map to my liking, the loading times go from lets say 10 seconds to app. 2 minutes. That's the load when starting a new single player campaign, or using a load in mid game, the same goes for quickload. I didn't do anything apart from relocating a few settlements/provinces. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have a look into my manual - there is in the beginning mentioned why this is happeing and how to solve it. The reason for it is the way Geomod generates the historic_event file.

thanks for this great tool,it helped me corrected manny things, but now am at 79 loading and i can not get further, the errror says;the descr_strat.txt file seems corrupted(nonplayable)
anny idea's how i can past this one?
the only bug i know of in the descr_strat is when playing with kwazermians, and you put the mousse over the factionleader portrait in the family tree, the game ctd,but i do not know how too fix this.

edit;settlement ragusacan not be enter in battle,as the loading bar keeps on loading and never ends.

The error appears to be at the start of the descr_strat file, possibly the formatting of the resource entries (wrong or missing comma). A backup will help, otherwise go through the resource entries.

Never heard about an error like the one you describe with Ragusa, doubtful it is Geomod related.

This isn't a mapping question but it is a Geomod issue so I'll post it here. I have 2 new units in my mod: "Highlander Swordsmen" and "Gaelic Clan Swordsmen." They are essentially identical but used by 2 different factions. They show up perfectly fine in game along with their proper text entries but Geomod keeps telling me:

    ****************************************************************************************************
    Error, Geomod v0.6.18 2011-08-13 03:35:41
Impossible to find the description of unit 'Gaelic Clan Swordsmen' !
    ****************************************************************************************************
    Error, Geomod v0.6.18 2011-08-13 03:35:42
Impossible to find the description of unit 'Highlander Swordsmen' !
The only thing I can think of is that both units work of a common battle_models db entry named for neither of them--"highland sword." Is this the problem and should I just ignore it or is something else going on. Again, I have noticed no issue with either unit in game.

Geomod is a Grammar Nazi - first check that all three entries per unit are present in export_units, then make sure the unit's entry in the EDU (dictionary) agrees completely with the entries in the export units file. Common mistake is capitalization on one side and small caps on the other.

Enter the resources back 20 at a time, that way you will narrow down the entries. Most of the time it's an additional comma. Took me over an hour to find that one wrong formatted resource in the first TATW version. 'chocolate' - I wont forget that one.

The mix up of the descr_strat can happen when you try to save in Geomod and haven't verified all the entries (using an existing descr_strat). A good method is to go through the region list and verify each of the regions.

    Another question, Gigantus:

How do I make Geomod recognize the different culture types for forts?

Because everytime I save in Geomod all forts are set to north_european culture..

You have only got four regular 'northern_european' and two 'middle_eastern' forts plus a teutonic fort. Everything else is custom and will be adjusted by Geomod. See the drop down list when placing forts\watchtowers in Geomod.

The 'culture' part in the name here is not related to culture as we normally associate it - it is referring to the building style.

Check here for the battle pics of those forts: Creating a World – Stone Forts on the Battlemap

Comma missing after chocolate (line 82) - my favorite error in TATW's descr_strat. You should have a problem with custom forts as well.
