Ah this is wonderful definatly come in handy for regions faction modding. if it could be more advanced you could modify to add a entire faction however is there a way to merge this with the 12 turns a year script? And how can i open the actual MTW2 in there?

I don't know how works this 12-turns-a-year script, but if it is just something in the campaign_script.txt file, then you just have to replace it.

In the archive, there are the french vanilla files needed for Geomod to work. I advise you to unpack your own english files. You must move them into the right folder, and then you just have to select this folder when launching Geomod.

Ah i got it working will help with my mod folder. Do you want me to write a entire tutorial in English for it??

A trait maker would be a great tool... i have a version of one however its complicated and doesnt include triggers

Installer for GeoMod ver 0.21 English

    Download here

    General:
I have taken the translated GeoMod upload provided by Octavius and have made the following changes\additions:

    1. Replaced all files in the M2TW_files folder with the English versions
    2. Extracted and converted icons from GeoMod and BinEditor for use with the installer
    3. Put everything into this installer

    Note:
Have a look in the M2TW_files folder to see which files the program needs. Explore the folder with the program to your heart's content.

    Installation:
    - The installer will automatically detect your installation of M2TW and then install the program into the M2TW\tools subfolder.
    - Shortcuts for GeoMod nd BinEditor will be put on the desktop

    Edit:

    I came across a bug:
GeoMod would freeze at 18% loading.

Reason: some of the M2TW files were read-only
    Solution: remove read-only attribute

Might need a subroutine to check that.

Good job with the installer gigantus!

I have been able to reproduce the bug. I will implement a subroutine to delete this file attribute.

Some of my findings after extensive use:

    Crash:
Symptom: If there is no entry in the "Regions\Various\Owner Faction" field validating will creash the program.
Cause: Settlement has been entered in descr_regions but not in descr_strat. The game will automatically allocate the region and settlement to the rebel faction (lazy modder syndrome)
Suggested Fix: Alert when 'validate' is pressed. A default entry might only work if you can establish the correct name of the rebel faction as it might change (PDeR calls them 'Lesser Factions' for example).

    Bug:
Symptom: If two regions have the same RGB code changing it will change it for both.
    Cause: Somewhere in the programming.
Suggested Fix: Alert, as at the moment you need to close the program and do the change manually.

    Bug:
Symptom: Alert says "Region_Name is already in use". In fact it is a duplication of RGB code.
    Cause: Maybe my translation
Suggested Fix: Correct translation and\or check sub routine.

    Bug:
Symptom: 'Validate' allows missing settlement (white pixel).
    Cause: Omitted check?
    Suggested Fix: New subroutine check.

    Bug:
Symptom: Regions\Size\Population only allows 4 didgit (9999) numerical entry. Beyond that the 'arrow' has to be used.
    Cause: ?
    Suggested Fix: ?

    Wishlist:
    - 'Options\Advanced Options' = being able to choose frm drop down list
    - 'Factions\Campaign' = Drop down list for AI entries
    - 'Factions\Characters' = to be implemented
    - 'Regions\development\resources' = Dropdown list based on entries from EDB

    Additional:
    - Trading Resources = choose from drop down menu (descr_sm_resources) and moveable like ports
    - 'Map Window' = big enough to display complete maximum size (510x510) map at max zoom out

Biggest wish: make it as soon as possible!
