The American Revolution-Thread
Discuss historical facts on the Revolution. Discuss which historical facts from the Revolution should be put in the game.
I will start do you think it should be a historical event in 1775 that revolt is declared or it depends on how well the colonies are managed.

I do not think the revolt is an event that needs to happen. It was by no means inevitable and I don't think it should be that way in the game. The Americans did pretty well out of the empire. It would be unfair to a British player to face revolt in the colonies no matter how well they are managed.

I hope not. Because when I play as Britain I want to move my capital to New York (After I take it over of course). I hope I can.

The Revolution should not be a scripted event in '75. The tension that developed between the colonies and Britain didn't begin to develop until the end of the French and Indian War in 1763. It was at this point in time, under George Grenville that the period of Salutary Neglect ended.
