Thread: Problem Playing

  1. #1

    Default Problem Playing

I installed into a clean RTW folder (serpeate directory than my regualr RTW install but stilll in the Creative assembly folder). I install hotfix 9 and the sprite pack.
Only thing I didn't do like the instructions say is I copied the files from the RomeMedieval folder into the main directory (XP didn't like something with the shortcut path so I decided to just put the files all together).

The loading screen for the custom battle I made finished and the game decided to crash.

    Any ideas why?

the reason of the problem is clear, you didn't follow the instuctions, you did two mistakes, the first is that you copied one folder while there is two folders you need to copy (RomeMedievalMod and Data),the second is that you must download the sprites first, then install the latest HotFix (as mentioned in the HotFix thread).

you should follow the steps one by one,and we are ready to help you,Good Luck

I copied the data folder, and the data folder in the RomeMedieval folder (along with the preferences folder) into the main RTW directory because of the shortcut issue. Since everything that needs to be used is where it should be used at, the regular RTW.exe should work (but obviosuly it didn't).

I do not remember which order I installed the sprites and hotfix (#9). I will reinstall them in the correct order just to be sure. I got both .zip files saved on my PC, so reinstalling them should be an easy task.

I reinstalled everything in the right order, and had to copy everythign into teh main RTW folders.
It still crashes just after the battle finishes loading

EDIT: I am thinking it has something to do with the sprites, since the battles always start with a zoomed out view of your general's unit before zooming in on him.
