MY PEOPLE, MY PRIDE, MY DESTINY:
IMAZIGHEN - The Free Nation.
life Free or die fighting for it.
Just registered to vote in this poll, but seems elapsed. I'd have voted for the Gepidae, biggest fun building up a bulwark against the steppe people menace. close follow-up is the Thuringians, to try to contain the expansionistic Franks.
Does Age of darkness part 1 have all those factions included as well? Is there a screenshot for strategical map? Anyways awsum work so far hope its not far from finished
first of all: be welcome Thiudimir!
Your decision concerning your favourite factions is very good.
First time I hear that somebody likes the Thuringi
The Gepids are surrounded by many interesting enemies. Furthermore the Gepid-state provides a very interesting mix of a semi-feudalic system, which is also included and simulated in AoD2.
Informations about AoD1 are given here:

It starts in 364AD.
Thanks, Pompeius!
And since they received no votes in the poll I wanted to show some support, I think they're a great 'underdog' faction with quite some possibilities (if they manage to hold their rivals at bay, both in the east and west). Will barbarian player be able to restore paganism ?! Or maybe some tribes aren't even baptized yetFirst time I hear that somebody likes the Thuringi
Sassanids.
I want to change history and subdue Dar-al-Islam
If we do not see all of Persia though, I will probably play the ERE, although I would love to see an EB-style map.

Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy.

I'll play all factions, really, so I voted IMPERIVM ROMANVM.
I will play with Bulgaria because:
1.Im Bulgarian
2.I will be glad to crush The Eastern Empire
Around 628, Kubrat returned to his fatherland, took the leadership over his people most probably with the approval of the Avar khagan. He soon managed to overthrow Avar domination and to secede from the Western Turkic Khaganate (which was entangled in dynastic wars).
Between 630 and 635, Khan Kubrat managed to unite the two main Bulgar tribes of Kutrigur and Utigur under a single rule, creating a powerful confederation which is referred to by the medieval authors as The Old Great Bulgaria.
Historia syntomos, breviarium
AoD2 starts in 527AD - that's the reason why the Avar dominion, which includes parts of the Bulgar tribes, is simply more important for our time era.
AoD3 starts in 636AD and will of course provide a single faction of the Bulgars.
If I know well AoD2 starts at 527 the beginning of the reign of Iustinianus. At this time the Huns weren't as important as they had been before but this era is the real "Avar era". They touched first to Europe when they send embassadors to Iustinian in the 550's. Many of them fought between Iustinian as his allys besides they conquered the Carpathian Basin and until the late period of Iustinian's reign especially after his death the Avars attacked Byzantine territories and they were whom destroyed the Northern Balkanian forts and this act made for the Slavs easier to incursioning and later on conquering Byzantine territories.
Lol,I vote for Bvlgari cause they're my ancestors. After them i will play with romans.
perhaps is it better to replace te names of the the saxones to Ingaevones. that's more historically acurate because the saxons where not the only one of the germanic invaders of britain. ( think on angles, jutes, frisians) and Ingaevones are all of those included the saxons.
this is a more historic accurate map between 500-600 of western europe
